Hi Laith, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Thrifted Threads was started in my bedroom in my senior year of High School in 2017.Fashion has always been a passion of mine since I was a lot younger . I was never the best student in school but I always had an Entrepreneurial mind from a young age From selling to friends and family to slowly learning the supply chain and learning how to source vintage clothing I slowly started supplying stores in the Houston area from 2018-2020 while still attending college. In 2020 I decided to go all in and launched my e-commerce store when the trend of Vinatge started taking off in America. The launch of my website made me feel like anything was possible after only doing e-commerce from 2020-2022 than in 2022 I decided to grow the Brand and its Awareness even more by Opening my first location in Houston in the Montrose Area while opening that store I realized I had a love more than just fashion and entrepreneurship and that was creating environments for people to be able to express them selves through clothing and creating an atmosphere that makes it easy for them to do so. I started thinking of expansion only 6 moths after my first store in Houston and decided to open my second location in College Station in 2023 right on Texas A&M’s Campus. My thought process behind that was everything starts from the youth of our generation and no better place to start than on a college campus that doesn’t have much places for students to shop curated second hand clothing. Thrifted Threads opened its third store in Dallas Texas at the end of 2024 with the hunger to keep serving the community with more unique clothing. I’m a very product driven person so every store is curated and every item placed in any of our locations is placed with intention to serve customers and provide them the best value possible. Hopefully it doesn’t stop here we are planning a Texas takeover than hopefully a national Takeover making curated high quality Vinatge clothing Available to everyone. Thrifted Threads being my passion product I truly believe there is nothing stopping us from being the Best.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Nothing great comes easy there has been many obstacles in the last 8 years, I started this brand knowing it won’t be easy but I was willing to keep pushing through the Hard times. Until this Day obstacles come up daily but the further down the road I get I realize it’s inevitable. Being in a very product Driven business. Our biggest constraint in expansion is always the product, That being said our sourcing team keeps expanding and pushing daily on sourcing more and better product always trying to improve to give our customers the best possible experience and serve them best.
As you know, we’re big fans of Thrifted Threads . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
We are a second Hand Vinatge clothing focused Brand, Our Slogan is Not Your Average Thrift Shop and we truly try to live up to that by creating a customer experience by not only selling customers though quality clothing but creating a space where they feel like they can be there for hours creating there next favorite outfit. We give out Free Ice cream daily at all locations also we have free arcade games and a lounge for customers to hang out in every location
