Today we’d like to introduce you to Jacinda Lahrmann,MS, BSB.
Hi Jacinda, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey has unfolded over many years and through several different seasons. I began my professional career in healthcare and medical operations, where I gained more than 26 years of experience serving patients, supporting providers, developing processes, training staff, and helping organizations function more effectively. Although I built a strong career in healthcare, I always felt drawn to the emotional and personal side of helping people.
That calling became even more personal after I experienced the loss of both of my parents one day apart in 2008. Walking through my own grief changed me and deepened my desire to help others navigate loss, difficult transitions, and the moments in life that leave us wondering what comes next.
Over time, I expanded my education and training, earning a master’s degree in Mental Health and Wellness with an emphasis in Grief and Bereavement. I also became a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor Intern, a Certified Christian Counselor, an author, and a trained mediator. Along the way, I have served through counseling, mental-health and bereavement ministries, community outreach, workshops, speaking, and programs supporting individuals and families. Community service has also remained central to my journey through food assistance, clothing outreach, community gardening, and programs supporting individuals and families in need.
Today, those experiences have come together through Connect with Jacinda. Through coaching, mediation, workshops, speaking, and my books, I create honest conversations and practical tools that help people move forward. My journey was not built overnight. It grew through service, education, personal loss, faith, and a willingness to keep becoming. Looking back, I can see that every part of my story prepared me for the work I am doing today.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, the road has not always been smooth. One of the most difficult seasons of my life came in 2008, when I lost both of my parents one day apart. That experience changed me deeply. I had to learn how to continue living, working, raising my family, and serving others while carrying grief that did not disappear simply because life kept moving.
There have also been professional transitions, personal setbacks, and seasons when I questioned whether I was moving in the right direction. Returning to school, expanding into mental-health and grief work, becoming an author, and building Connect with Jacinda have all required patience, discipline, and the courage to begin again—even when the complete path was not clear.
One of my greatest challenges has been learning not to measure progress only by how quickly doors open. Some of my most important growth happened quietly, behind the scenes, while I was gaining experience, developing my voice, and becoming prepared for opportunities I could not yet see.
The road has been difficult at times, but it has also been meaningful. My struggles strengthened my faith, deepened my compassion, and taught me how to sit with people during hard seasons without rushing them. The challenges did not stop my journey; they helped shape the purpose behind it.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Connect with Jacinda is a personal and professional development brand built around “Conversations That Move You Forward.” I provide coaching, mediation and conflict-resolution services, workshops, speaking engagements, and practical resources designed to help individuals, couples, organizations, churches, and communities navigate change with greater clarity and confidence.
My areas of focus include emotional wellness, grief and healing, life transitions, communication, relationships, resilience, leadership, personal growth, and purpose. I offer individual, couples, and group coaching, along with mediation services that give people a respectful and neutral space to work through conflict. I also develop and facilitate workshops and presentations for churches, businesses, conferences, community organizations, and groups seeking meaningful conversations and practical tools.
What sets Connect with Jacinda apart is the combination of professional knowledge, real-life experience, compassion, and practicality. I do not believe people always need someone to tell them what to do. Sometimes they need a safe place to slow down, understand what is happening, recognize their options, and determine the next step that is right for them. My approach is warm but direct, encouraging but honest, and always centered on helping people move forward.
I am especially proud that Connect with Jacinda is not limited to one type of service. Whether I am coaching someone through a transition, helping people communicate during mediation, speaking to an audience, facilitating a workshop, or writing a book, the purpose remains the same: to create honest conversations, offer practical support, and remind people that they are not stuck simply because they are facing a difficult season.
So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
People can work with me through individual, couples, or group coaching; mediation and conflict-resolution services; workshops; speaking engagements; panel discussions; podcasts; and community events. I also collaborate with churches, nonprofits, senior communities, funeral homes and grief programs, family-law professionals, healthcare organizations, businesses, and other community partners that want to provide meaningful support and practical resources to the people they serve.
Organizations can invite me to speak, facilitate a workshop, develop a program around a specific need, or become a referral partner. Individuals can schedule a consultation, participate in coaching, request mediation services, or connect with one of my books and other wellness resources.
People can also support Connect with Jacinda by sharing my work, referring someone who may benefit from my services, purchasing my books, or introducing me to organizations that value emotional wellness, healing, communication, and personal growth. I am always open to thoughtful collaborations that align with the purpose of helping people move forward.
