Kevin, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
To understand where I am today, you have to look at my life as an athlete. Growing up competing across multiple sports—including running track in high school, which earned me college scholarships—built the foundation of who I am. But my core passion has always been soccer. The attributes you develop competing at a high level directly translate into every other area of life.
I never intentionally set out on this exact dual pathway; I stumbled upon the opportunity and decided to run with it. After earning my Associate’s degree, I took a leap of faith, took a gap year, and earned the opportunity to play semi-professionally in Germany. Taking that gamble transformed my perspective and set my mind on pursuing soccer at the highest level possible.
Interestingly, taking that risk abroad is also what led me to my current career. I wanted a professional path that allowed me to stay in control of my schedule so I could build a business while continuing to train elite-level.
Today, I operate at the intersection of protection and performance. Professionally, I’m a life insurance entrepreneur focused on empowering individuals and families to secure their financial legacy. I provide supplemental coverage and essential estate planning tools, like will kits, to ensure everyday families in our community are protected.
Parallel to building my business, I remain a dedicated soccer athlete on the path to playing professionally. Balancing high-level athletic training with entrepreneurship requires absolute discipline, but the mindset is identical: managing risk, remaining resilient, executing under pressure, and striving for excellence every single day.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has definitely not been a smooth road, and I don’t believe any path is just completely smooth. Struggles or should I say challenges along the way contribute to where you are and where you’re going. Switching gears to becoming an entrepreneur was massive and difficult, especially if you’re the main one in control of everything around you while not ever being used to that type of responsibility. Learning to set a schedule for yourself or goals or deadline is challenging so it did have me struggle at first. While being an athlete is just as challenging. Theres a lot of physical and mental sacrifice along the way I can say. You have to constantly evolve and evaluate yourself but thats part of the process and journey. The struggle of continuing your athletic career, which involves elite training and dedication while also having to explore a career is difficult. I was never really sure what I wanted to do in life besides be an athlete but surely a lot of athletes deal with that identity crisis.

Playing soccer competitively—including my experience playing semi-pro in Germany—placed me alongside incredible coaches and teammates. They pushed my physical and mental limits, taught me accountability, and showed me what true work ethic looks like under pressure.
