Inspiring Conversations with LaTasha Howard of Global Tax Junkies, Printer Junkies, and Loving Myself Hard

Today we’d like to introduce you to LaTasha Howard.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
It all started with a vision and a dream.

Long before I had the businesses, the brands, the recognition, or the opportunities that I have today, there was simply a woman with a vision for her life. I had dreams of what I wanted to build, who I wanted to become, and the kind of impact I wanted to have. I could see pieces of the life I wanted, even before I knew exactly how I was going to get there.

But life happened.

Sometimes life doesn’t ask permission before changing the direction of your plans. There were circumstances, changes, responsibilities, and seasons that caused some of my dreams to be put on hold. Things didn’t always happen according to my timeline, and there were moments when I had to put certain aspirations aside while I dealt with what was in front of me.

For a while, it could have been easy to believe that because my dreams were delayed, they were gone.

But they weren’t.
They were still there.
And then came COVID.

Like so many people, the pandemic changed my perspective on life. It made me stop and really look at myself, my purpose, my priorities, and the dreams I had placed on the shelf.

And I prayed.

I prayed when I didn’t have all the answers. I prayed when I didn’t know what the next chapter was going to look like. I prayed for direction, clarity, strength, and purpose.

Most importantly, I surrendered.

I had to understand that my timeline was not necessarily God’s timeline.

That season became a turning point for me because I began to understand that sometimes God will allow you to be still before He allows you to move forward. Sometimes what feels like a delay is actually preparation.

COVID didn’t just change the world around me; it changed something within me.

It caused me to revisit the dreams I had once put on hold. It reminded me that there were things inside of me that I still wanted to accomplish. It made me realize that I couldn’t keep waiting for the “perfect” time to become the woman I knew I was capable of becoming.

So I began again.
Not necessarily with everything figured out. Not with a perfect plan. But with faith.

God became and continues to be the foundation of my journey.

As I began moving forward, different pieces of my vision started coming together. My entrepreneurial journey expanded into Global Tax Junkies, Printer Junkies, Travel Junkies, and Loving Myself Hard™. Each brand represents something different, but each one is connected to the larger vision that has been inside of me for years.

Global Tax Junkies represents entrepreneurship, tax services, and helping people navigate an important part of their financial lives.

Printer Junkies represents my creativity and my ability to take an idea and turn it into something tangible.

Travel Junkies represents the importance of experiencing life, seeing the world, celebrating milestones, and creating memories.

And Loving Myself Hard™ represents something deeply personal: learning to love yourself through every chapter, understanding your worth, healing, growing, establishing boundaries, and becoming the person you were created to be.

But none of this happened without challenges.

My health journey has also been part of my story. There have been seasons that forced me to slow down and recognize that I couldn’t continue putting everyone and everything ahead of myself. I had to learn that taking care of myself was not selfish and that my worth wasn’t determined by how much I could accomplish in a day.

I had to learn how to listen to my body, give myself grace, and understand that healing can be a journey too.

There were times when I had to rebuild emotionally, spiritually, personally, and professionally.

But every time I thought I was starting over, I realized I was actually starting from experience.

I wasn’t the same woman who had the original dream.
I had grown.
I had been tested.
I had learned.
I had lost things.
I had gained wisdom.
I had prayed.

And I had developed a deeper understanding of who I was.

That’s what makes my story real to me.

I didn’t simply wake up one day and become an entrepreneur. I became one through a series of life experiences that taught me resilience. I learned how to turn pain into purpose, ideas into businesses, obstacles into lessons, and delayed dreams into renewed vision.

And I’m still learning.
I’m still growing.
I’m still building.
I’m still becoming.

I don’t believe God gave me the vision just for me. I believe there is purpose attached to everything I’ve experienced. The struggles, the delays, the unexpected changes, the health challenges, the moments of uncertainty, and even the dreams that had to sit on the shelf for a while all of it has become part of my testimony.

Today, when I look at my life, I don’t just see where I am.

I see everything it took to get here.I see the woman who had a dream.

I see the woman who had to put that dream on hold.

I see the woman who lived through a season that changed the entire world.

I see the woman who prayed.

I see the woman who trusted God when she couldn’t see the whole road.

And I see the woman who eventually picked her dreams back up.

That’s the part of my story I want people to remember:

A dream being delayed does not mean it has been denied.

Sometimes God has to prepare the person before He releases the promise.

My journey is still unfolding, and I don’t pretend to know exactly what every chapter will hold. But I know who I trust with the story.

” God is the author of my journey. ”

And I am simply doing my part, walking by faith, continuing to dream, continuing to build, continuing to serve, and continuing to become.

What started as a vision and a dream has become a journey of faith.

And what I thought was a pause in my story may have actually been the preparation for everything I am becoming.

This is not the end of my story.
This is what happens when a woman picks her dream back up and walks forward with God.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, the road has absolutely not been smooth and I think that is an important part of my story.

There have been seasons of setbacks, disappointments, tears, rebuilding, uncertainty, and having to start over. There were moments when I had to step back and ask myself some very difficult questions: Who am I becoming? What am I willing to let go of? What am I carrying that I no longer need? And, most importantly, can I continue to believe in the vision when life doesn’t look anything like I imagined it would?

My health journey has been another significant part of that story. There have been moments when my health required me to slow down, pay attention to my body, and recognize that I couldn’t continue operating as though I was invincible. As an entrepreneur and a woman who is naturally accustomed to taking care of other people and handling whatever needs to be handled, learning that I also had to take care of ME was a powerful lesson.

My health journey taught me that healing is not always linear. Sometimes healing means resting. Sometimes it means changing your priorities. Sometimes it means acknowledging that you are tired. Sometimes it means allowing yourself to be vulnerable and understanding that asking for help or taking a step back does not make you weak.

There were times when I had to balance my personal challenges with my responsibilities as a businesswoman, family member, leader, and someone who was still trying to show up for other people. That wasn’t always easy. There were days when I had to find the strength to keep going even when I didn’t necessarily feel strong.

But those experiences changed me.

They taught me to have more grace for myself. They taught me that my worth isn’t determined by how productive I am. They taught me that sometimes God will force you to slow down because there is something He wants you to see, learn, release, or heal.

I’ve also had to learn that resilience doesn’t mean pretending that everything is okay. Resilience means acknowledging that something hurts and deciding that the pain will not have the final word.

My struggles have given me a deeper understanding of compassion not only for other people, but for myself. They have helped me understand that everyone is fighting battles that may never be visible on the outside.

That’s one of the reasons my message of self-love and empowerment is so personal to me. I don’t speak about healing, knowing your worth, embracing yourself, and becoming the woman you are meant to be from a place of perfection. I speak from experience.

I’ve had to learn how to love myself through the uncomfortable seasons, not just the successful ones.

I’ve had to learn how to celebrate progress when the progress was small.

I’ve had to learn how to release people, situations, expectations, and versions of myself that no longer aligned with where I was going.

And I’ve had to learn that starting over isn’t failure.

Sometimes, starting over is what courage looks like.

Today, I am proud of the fact that I am still here, still growing, still building, still healing, and still becoming. My health journey and the challenges I’ve experienced haven’t stopped my story they have added depth to it.

I wouldn’t romanticize the struggles, because some seasons were genuinely hard. But I can look back now and recognize that they developed something in me that success alone never could have.

They gave me perspective.
They gave me compassion.
They strengthened my faith.
And they gave me a greater sense of purpose.

So, no, the road hasn’t been smooth. But it has been meaningful.

Every setback taught me something. Every difficult season revealed something. Every time I had to rebuild, I discovered another level of strength.

And perhaps the greatest lesson of all is this: I don’t have to have a perfect journey to have a powerful testimony.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
My businesses and brands are a reflection of who I am; creative, purpose-driven, resilient, and passionate about helping people create better lives for themselves.

I have never believed in putting myself into just one box. My entrepreneurial journey has allowed me to build businesses that serve very different needs, but they all have one thing in common: they are designed to educate, create, empower, and make an impact.

Global Tax Junkies is rooted in tax preparation and financial education. We serve individuals, families, entrepreneurs, and business owners, helping them navigate the tax process with professionalism while also understanding the importance of financial knowledge. What I want people to understand is that tax preparation shouldn’t simply be a once-a-year transaction. It should be part of a larger conversation about financial responsibility, education, and building a stronger financial future.

Printer Junkies is where my creativity and entrepreneurial spirit really come to life. We specialize in custom printing, apparel, promotional products, personalized gifts, branding, and creative concepts. Our philosophy is simple: “You Think It, We Ink It.” I love taking someone’s idea even when it’s just a thought in their head and helping turn it into something tangible that they can see, hold, wear, share, or build their brand around.

Then there is Travel Junkies, which represents another side of my vision: creating experiences and memories. Travel Junkies offers cruises, getaways, beach trips, girls’ trips, couples’ experiences, birthdays, family vacations, and group travel. Our philosophy is “Creating Memories One Destination at a Time.” I believe life is about more than working and surviving. We have to make room to experience life, celebrate milestones, explore new places, spend meaningful time with the people we love, and create memories that last.

And then there is Loving Myself Hard™, which is especially close to my heart because it represents a message and a movement. It is centered around self-love, healing, empowerment, advocacy, faith, personal growth, and learning to embrace who you are while becoming who you are meant to be. Loving yourself isn’t about being selfish; it’s about understanding your worth, establishing boundaries, healing from what you’ve survived, and refusing to abandon yourself just to make other people comfortable.

What sets my brands apart is that they are not simply businesses I created because I wanted to have businesses. They were born from real experiences, real passions, real challenges, and a genuine desire to serve people.

I understand that people have different needs at different stages of life. Someone may need help with their taxes. Someone else may need their business logo or merchandise brought to life. Another person may need a vacation that gives them something to look forward to. And someone else may simply need a reminder that they are worthy, capable, and allowed to choose themselves.

That is what I love about entrepreneurship: I don’t have to choose just one way to make an impact.

What I am most proud of, brand-wise, is that I have been able to take my creativity, knowledge, experiences, and challenges and turn them into something that can benefit other people. I am proud that my brands have personality and purpose. They aren’t just names or logos, they represent different pieces of my vision.

I also take tremendous pride in the fact that I continue to evolve. I am not afraid to grow, change direction, create something new, or expand my vision. Entrepreneurship has taught me that you can be multifaceted and still be focused. You can have multiple passions and still have a unified purpose.

Ultimately, I want readers to understand that LaTasha Howard-Hinton is not simply building businesses; I am building a legacy.

Through Global Tax Junkies, I help people understand their finances. Through Printer Junkies, I help people bring their ideas and brands to life. Through Travel Junkies, I help people experience the world and create memories. Through Loving Myself Hard™, I encourage people to embrace themselves, heal, grow, and recognize their worth.

Different brands. Different services. One purpose: to create something meaningful that leaves people better than I found them.

That is the heart behind everything I do.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Something that may surprise people who know me or follow my work is that, despite the confidence, strength, and many hats I wear publicly, I am a deeply reflective person. I spend a lot of time thinking about who I am becoming, not just what I am accomplishing.

People often see LaTasha the entrepreneur, the businesswoman, the advocate, the creator, the problem-solver, and the woman who seems to always have another vision in motion. What they may not see are the quiet moments behind all of that the moments when I am evaluating my life, praying, learning, healing, challenging myself, and asking, “What is God preparing me for next?”

I have also learned that being strong doesn’t mean you never get tired, question yourself, or have moments when you need to regroup. My strength has been developed through those moments, not because I have avoided them.

Another thing people may not realize is how much I genuinely care about people. For me, business has always been personal. When I help someone build a business, navigate a new opportunity, recognize their worth, or simply believe in themselves again, that means something to me. I don’t just want to create successful businesses; I want my work to create an impact.

I think one of the most surprising things about me is that I am still becoming. I don’t have everything figured out, and I don’t pretend to. I am comfortable acknowledging that there are parts of my story that are still being written.

The woman people see today is the result of many versions of LaTasha who had to learn, grow, fall, get back up, forgive, release, and keep moving.

So, perhaps the biggest surprise is this: the woman behind the brand is still a work in progress, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I don’t want people to look at me and think, “She has it all together.” I want them to look at me and think, “If she can continue becoming, so can I.”
