Inspiring Conversations with Savannah of Sippin’ Pretty Mobile Bar

Today we’d like to introduce you to Savannah.

Hi Savannah, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I worked for a company for 13 years and worked my way up to managing multiple locations. Unfortunately, the company struggled to keep its doors open due to inflation. We all lost our jobs abruptly. I was SO lost and scared. This job was literally all I knew. I went back and forth from wanting to find a job that could pay the bills to staying true to myself and my passion. Uncertainty took a big toll on my emotions. I gave myself a moment to feel and digest the situation. Then it was time to remember something I used to preach to my employees. Growth and change come with uncomfortableness, uncertainty, and fear. I wanted to have a career that had meaning, not just passive income. Then, I had to remind myself about the two “C’s” that stood out in my passion for my career. Creativity & Connection. Those are the two things that keep me on track. So, I gave everything I had emotionally, mentally, and finically. I took a big risk to create my own business. But, I knew right there and then that I would be at much more of a loss if I never gave myself an opportunity to shine. We only truly fail if we allow our fear to prevent us to even try. So, with the support of my loved ones, God, and the faith within myself, I have now operated Sippin’ Pretty Mobile Bar for 1.5yrs and many more to come!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
This journey has been an experience. Most struggles come from the unknown. This is an entirely new experience and it comes with a lot of learning curves and opportunities. Especially, the legal aspect of it. Such as the taxes and staying in good standing.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Sippin’ Pretty is a Salvadoran Women owned business that creates elevated beverages such as mocktails, cocktails, & matcha.
We offer a variety of services. Our most popular service is our portable bar package. We have different portable bars and a mobile trailer. We bring the bar to you!
We make statement pieces with our grazing mocktail/cocktail table. This is a gorgeous set-up based on the themed with elevated drinks.
We offer a frozen machine bar rental for a beautiful self-serving set-up.
Lastly, we offer the opportunity to teach and share our mixology techniques and skills.
Key point of all of this is that we only use fresh, natural, and quality ingredients. I don’t use anything I wouldn’t have myself.
I truly care so much about the product and the result it carries within our guests.
We genuinely care about your vision and we are forever grateful to be chosen for any special occasion you choose to share with us.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I believe “risk” somehow became a word that screams CAUTION!!
But, in hindsight it should mean OPPORTUNITY!
As cliche as it sounds, nothing comes easy and if it does, it’ usually does not carry much value.
Creating a business all on your own, is very risky. Choosing to start from the bottom to withhold your life style is risky. But, little do we know, settling in a world of comfortability is just as risky if not riskier.
