Inspiring Conversations with Sneh Patel of Philladelphia Warhawks and Warhawks Entertainment

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sneh Patel.

Hi Sneh, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My journey has never really followed a straight line. It has been a combination of cricket, education, technology, entrepreneurship, community, and a constant curiosity to learn something new and turn ideas into reality.

Cricket has been at the center of much of my journey. What started as a passion for the game gradually became a much bigger part of my life. As a student, I had the opportunity to play competitive cricket and be part of different cricket communities, which taught me some of the most important lessons I still carry today — teamwork, discipline, leadership, resilience, and the importance of believing in something before everyone else can see it.

At the same time, my academic journey took me into engineering and technology. Being a student and pursuing an engineering background gave me a completely different perspective. I learned how to approach problems, think critically, work with people from different backgrounds, and build solutions rather than simply identify problems. Over time, that mindset naturally found its way into my entrepreneurial journey as well.

One of the biggest chapters of that journey has been the Philadelphia Warhawks. What began with conversations among a few friends who simply wanted to play better cricket eventually became an organization and a community that we continue to build today. Along the way, the group grew beyond the original conversations between myself, Brij Patel, and Dhruvil Dagli. Parth Patel and Priyank Patel — the twins, as we affectionately call them — also became an important part of the journey, along with many friends, players, coaches, families, and supporters who have contributed to what the Warhawks are becoming.

The Warhawks have taught me that building something is very different from simply having an idea. It requires patience, sacrifice, teamwork, business thinking, marketing, event organization, and the willingness to keep going when things don’t always go according to plan. From playing and organizing cricket to working on tournaments, sponsorships, community initiatives, and events, I have found myself learning something new at every stage.

This year, we also started Warhawks Entertainment, which represents another evolution of that vision — using the experience we have gained through cricket and event organization to create and support bigger entertainment, sporting, and community experiences.

Alongside cricket and entrepreneurship, I have continued to explore other areas that I enjoy. I became an ICC Level 1 certified coach because I wanted to give back to the game and help the next generation of players develop not only as cricketers but also as teammates and individuals. I also have a strong interest in marketing and creative work through SPSM Marketing, where I get to explore branding, social media, digital marketing, and creative storytelling.

Photography has become another creative outlet for me through Photographs by Sneh. It started as a hobby, but it has given me another way to tell stories and capture moments — especially around sports, people, and the communities I am fortunate to be part of.

When I look back, I don’t see these as separate careers or identities. I see them as different pieces of the same journey. Cricket introduced me to people and opportunities, education taught me how to think, entrepreneurship taught me how to build, coaching taught me how to give back, event organizing taught me how to bring people together, and marketing and photography gave me creative ways to tell those stories.

I am still very much on that journey. There is a lot more I want to learn, build, and contribute — both in cricket and beyond. If there is one thing that has remained consistent throughout all of it, it is the desire to take an idea, bring the right people together, and see how far we can take it.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Definitely not. If anything, the journey has been defined by the challenges as much as the successes.

One of the biggest challenges has been trying to build something from the ground up while balancing many different responsibilities. I have been a student, cricketer, engineer, entrepreneur, coach, event organizer, and someone involved in marketing and creative work. Trying to give each of those areas the time and attention they deserve has not always been easy. There have been plenty of long days, late nights, difficult decisions, and moments where we had to ask ourselves whether we were moving in the right direction.

Building the Philadelphia Warhawks came with its own challenges. When we started, we had the vision, but we didn’t have an established organization, a large support system, or a proven roadmap to follow. We had to learn everything along the way — from building a competitive cricket organization and finding the right people, to developing relationships with sponsors, managing events, building our brand, and creating opportunities for players.

One of the biggest and most rewarding challenges has been our youth cricket program and the tournaments we organize. Through the Philadelphia Warhawks Youth Tournament, we run two major tournaments each year — the Spring Break Youth Tournament in the spring and the Labor Day Youth Tournament in the fall. Our goal has always been to create a competitive, well-organized platform where youth academies can bring their players together, compete at a high level, and gain experiences that help them grow.

That has been a massive undertaking. We want to help provide competitive youth cricket in the heart of New Jersey and give academies an opportunity to test themselves against teams they may not normally get to play. But organizing tournaments at that scale involves countless details behind the scenes — scheduling, fields, umpires, scoring, teams, communication, sponsors, volunteers, logistics, and making sure the experience is positive for players, coaches, and families.

Seeing that tournament grow has made all the hard work worthwhile. We went from 14 teams at the Spring Break Youth Tournament in 2025 to 82 teams in 2026. That kind of growth doesn’t happen because of one person. It has been the result of an incredible amount of volunteer effort and support from everyone involved.

I have been especially fortunate to share that responsibility with the other founders — Dhruvil, Brij, Parth, and Priyank. We have all had to sacrifice our own time, step into different roles, solve problems on the fly, and sometimes simply do whatever needed to be done. There are plenty of moments during these tournaments when you’re not thinking about titles or positions — you’re just trying to make sure everything works.

And that’s probably one of the things I value most about this journey. It has shown me that building something meaningful is rarely about one individual. It’s about bringing together people who believe in the same vision and are willing to put in the work, often without recognition.

There have also been challenges around recognition and support for cricket more broadly. Cricket has an incredibly passionate community in the Philadelphia and New Jersey region, but growing the sport and getting broader attention takes time. There have been moments when we’ve invested significant time, energy, and resources without immediately seeing the results we hoped for.

We’ve also learned that not every idea works exactly the way you imagine it. We’ve had plans that didn’t work, events that came with unexpected problems, and decisions that we would probably approach differently today. But those experiences have been some of our best teachers. They have forced us to communicate better, adapt faster, understand the business side of what we’re building, and become more comfortable with uncertainty.

Looking back, I don’t think I would want the journey to have been completely smooth. The difficult moments taught me patience, accountability, leadership, and resilience in ways that success alone never could.

And perhaps the biggest lesson has been that the work is never really finished. Whether it’s building the Warhawks, growing our youth tournaments, coaching young players, organizing events, or working on our other ventures, we’re still learning and evolving. The challenges are still there, but now we have more experience, more people around us, and a much clearer understanding of why we’re doing it.

As you know, we’re big fans of Philladelphia Warhawks and Warhawks Entertainment. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
The Philadelphia Warhawks started with a simple idea: to create a competitive cricket organization in the Philadelphia region that players could be proud to represent and that could contribute something meaningful to the local cricket community.

What began as a group of friends coming together over their shared love for cricket has grown into much more than a cricket team. Today, the Warhawks are involved in competitive cricket, youth development, tournament organization, community engagement, and creating opportunities for players and families to experience the sport at a higher level.

One of the areas we are particularly proud of is our Philadelphia Warhawks Youth Tournament, which includes our Spring Break Youth Tournament and Labor Day Youth Tournament. Our goal is to provide youth academies with a platform to play meaningful, competitive cricket against teams from across the region. We want these tournaments to be more than just games — we want them to create memorable experiences for young players, coaches, and families.

The growth of our youth tournaments has been incredibly rewarding. Our Spring Break Youth Tournament grew from 14 teams in 2025 to 82 teams in 2026. That growth represents an enormous amount of work behind the scenes, but more importantly, it reflects the trust that academies, players, coaches, and families have placed in us. It has been a privilege to help create a strong competitive cricket platform for the next generation.

What sets the Warhawks apart is the people behind the organization and our willingness to do the work ourselves. The founders — Sneh Patel, Brij Patel, Dhruvil Dagli, Parth Patel, and Priyank Patel — come from different backgrounds, but we are united by our passion for cricket and our desire to build something meaningful. A significant part of what we do is powered by volunteers. From organizing tournaments and managing logistics to working with sponsors, supporting players, creating content, and handling everything that happens behind the scenes, everyone contributes wherever they are needed.

This year, we also launched Warhawks Entertainment, expanding our vision beyond traditional cricket operations into sports, entertainment, events, and community experiences.

From a brand perspective, what I am most proud of is that Philadelphia Warhawks has become more than a name on a jersey. It represents competitiveness, community, opportunity, and the belief that we can create opportunities rather than simply wait for them.

We are still growing and learning every season, but our focus remains the same: to build competitive cricket, create opportunities for players, support youth development, bring people together, and contribute to the growth of cricket in our region. Ultimately, the Warhawks are about people — the players, coaches, families, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters who have helped turn an idea shared among a few friends into something much bigger.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Something that might surprise people is how many different things happen behind the scenes beyond cricket. Most people know me through the Philadelphia Warhawks, but cricket is only one part of what I do.

I have always been someone who enjoys learning different things and taking on new challenges. Alongside playing and organizing cricket, I have pursued engineering and technology, entrepreneurship, event management, marketing, coaching, and photography. I am also an ICC Level 1 certified coach, and photography has become a personal creative outlet through Photographs by Sneh. I also work in digital marketing and branding through SPSM Marketing.

What people may not realize is the number of hours that go into everything behind the scenes. Organizing tournaments, coordinating teams and volunteers, managing events, creating content, handling marketing, communicating with sponsors, and dealing with the countless small details can take up an incredible amount of time. It can be challenging to maintain a healthy social life while balancing all of these responsibilities, especially during the busiest parts of the cricket season.

I think that is probably one of the less visible parts of the journey. People see the finished tournament, the game, the photos, or the final event, but they don’t always see the weeks and months of work that happen beforehand.

I’ve also realized that while I’ve spent a lot of time building projects and organizations, I need to make the same commitment to myself. So, one of the next chapters I’m looking forward to is starting a personal fitness journey and making health and fitness a more intentional part of my life.

I don’t really see all of these interests as separate things. I enjoy building, creating, organizing, learning, and challenging myself. The next challenge is making sure that while I’m building things around me, I’m also taking care of myself along the way.
