Kuron & Jodie , it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: When was the last time you felt true joy?
The last time we felt true joy was collaborating and creating PullUp -Vibes. The joy comes from creating a platform to entertain the general public and to inspire independent artist.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Pull-Up Vibes is a business collaboration between owner of (Down2talk podcast) Kuron Franklin & owner of (MusixBox Entertainment)Jodie Scott, who teamed up to create Pull-Up vibes in September 2024. Pull-Up Vibes is a platform created for creatives which includes art ,music ,dance, singing and trending conversations . Pull-Up Vibes is an event held monthly on the rooftop of Ivy Bar & Bistro located 2613 Potomac Dr Houston tx at 9pm.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
Pull-Up vibes serves each artist by providing a platform that embellish the artist work. Our production team consists of a live band, videographer, photographer ,artist liaison and music producer this team of professional serves each artist allowing the artist to focus on their live performances entertaining the PullUp -Vibes audience.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Absolutely, with starting any new venture you ask yourself “Is this going to work? And, self sometimes say Im not for sure. Getting Pull-Up Vibes off the ground definitely took calculated risk. Our struggle has been discovering our audience. Remember our events are hosted in a intimate space, therefore we have hosted events with only 2 people in audience; however, we continue on with the show. We understand that marketing is a factor but some our events that we hosted had an audience of 25 to 30. So our consistency outweighs our struggle which we have successfully hosted 12 events from October 2024 to October 2025. So, as we haved discovered our audience and our method of marketing to obtain consistency with our audience succeeding this challenge within a year.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
The music industry tells you to perform covers. Here at Pull-Up Vibes we believe in artist performing their original songs. We believe in the talent of the artist, and that’s what our platform serves.

Here at Pull-Up Vibes we feel most at peace, after an accomplish show. Simply, by seeing the smiles on our audience face and having the opportunity to professionally work with local artist. We greatly appreciate our Pull-Up Vibes team. We look forward to year 2026 as we jump off our first show January 9th 2026. Pull-Up!!!!
