We’re looking forward to introducing you to Laura Garcia. Check out our conversation below.
Laura , a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
What I’m most proud of building — that nobody sees — is my inner strength.
People might see my flower business, my social media content, or the projects I share online, but they don’t always know that I was born with a cleft lip. I grew up facing bullying, surgeries, rejection, and deep insecurity.
They don’t see the hard postpartum period I went through, or the emotional struggle of wanting to grow professionally while staying home to take care of my daughter.
What no one sees… is everything I had to heal and transform on the inside to become the woman I am today — a woman who empowers others, who shows up online with purpose, and who believes in her voice.
That kind of strength isn’t taught. It’s built through courage, self-love, and intention.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Laura — a mom, entrepreneur, and content creator.
I was born with a cleft lip, and while I grew up facing emotional and social challenges, today I use my voice to inspire women to reconnect with their inner power and believe in their potential.
My first business — and still active today — is a boutique that creates personalized floral and gift experiences. I’ve always loved crafting beauty that touches people’s hearts. But when I became a mother and had to stay home full-time, I felt like my world paused. I had no income, no mental stimulation, and no sense of direction… until I made the decision to reinvent myself.
I started learning digital skills that completely transformed my life. Today, I create purpose-driven content, collaborate with brands, work in affiliate marketing, and share digital tools and products designed to empower women just like me.
My mission is to show that any woman — even from home — can grow, evolve, and create her own professional path, all while staying true to who she is and the life she’s building.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
One moment that truly changed the way I see the world happened after I became a mother.
I was home caring for my daughter, but I felt completely disconnected from myself. I had no income, no routine, and no sense of productivity. I had stopped taking care of my appearance, lost my focus, and felt… invisible.
It wasn’t easy to admit, but I was slowly falling into a quiet sadness. And in the middle of that vulnerable season, I realized something had to change — not just for me, but for her.
That’s when I began learning digital skills and building a new version of myself from home: a present and loving mom, but also a woman with purpose, productivity, and power.
That was the beginning of my transformation.
What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
One of the deepest wounds in my life was being rejected from a job because of my cleft lip condition.
It hurt deeply — not just because of the lost opportunity, but because it made me feel like, despite all my effort and preparation, my appearance still mattered more than my abilities. It was a painful hit to my self-esteem.
But that wound also became the beginning of something greater. Instead of staying in that pain, I started seeing myself with more compassion. I began recognizing my worth and giving myself the space that others didn’t.
That rejection pushed me to build something of my own — to develop my talent and raise my voice.
And now, the very story that once made me feel small has become a source of inspiration. I share it to help other women heal, trust in their worth, and realize that what makes them different is what makes them powerful.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
There’s one belief I stand for with all my heart — no matter how long it takes:
the biggest limits we face are not outside of us… they’re in our minds.
I truly believe that when a woman works on her self-love, her self-worth, and her self-acceptance, she begins to break through invisible barriers that once held her back.
I’m deeply committed to showing that there’s no one way to be successful — and that being a mother doesn’t take anything away from us; it actually multiplies our power.
We can be present mothers and empowered women. We can care and create. We can heal and rise.
That’s why I see my work not just as a business, but as a life mission — to remind women that they can build a version of themselves they’re proud of.
From home. On their own terms. In their own time.
Because when a woman makes peace with herself… she changes her entire world.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people say that I was a woman who didn’t give up.
That even though I was born with a condition that marked my face, I chose to let my light be the thing people noticed most.
I want to be remembered as someone who embraced her wounds and turned them into purpose.
As someone who inspired other women — especially mothers — to realize they are not forgotten, that they still have so much to give, and that it’s never too late to begin again.
I hope they say I was a voice for those who were too afraid to speak, a guide for those who didn’t know where to start, and living proof that you don’t need to be perfect to be powerful —
just full of self-love, faith… and the courage to decide.
