Dr. Adaeze, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
I wake up at 4:30 am and start my day with my daily prayer. Then prior to my daily workout I eat my pre-workout breakfast. For the next 60-90 mins I workout with my daily sprints and weight workout.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am a board certified dermatologist in private practice in Humble, Texas. My practice, Humble Dermatology, has been open for the past 7 years where we offer medical, cosmetic, surgical, and pediatric dermatology. Our practice is fully comprehensive and caters to treating the whole family. During my free time, I enjoy traveling and have been to over 25 countries.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who taught you the most about work?
My father has such a strong work ethic and has been my biggest motivator. He taught me to always strive for the best and try to obtain the highest level of education possible.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
I am most fearful of failure and rejection. I tend to be cautiously optimistic at all times.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
The world looks at dermatology as an easy glamorous speciality, But it doesn’t see the where most dermatologist have to wear many hats at work especially ones who own their own practice. Additionally, dermatology is more than aesthetics, we make a huge impact in the quality of life of our patients.

I feel most at peace when I am on vacation in the Caribbean relaxing in the hotel in my comfy soft bed waiting to go for a massage in a quiet serene environment.
