Gwendolyn Jackson shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Gwendolyn , we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What do you think others are secretly struggling with—but never say?
I think everybody’s smiling ,but behind those smiles- silence.
We hide pain under “I’m fine,”
carry peace for others while breaking inside, What we don’t say is what’s killing us quietly.
So today, say it out loud-
I’m still here, And that’s enough.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am Gwendolyn Jackson the founder of the Roy L Jackson Community Outreach Center. The Roy L Jackson Community Outreach Center was birthed to provide supportive outreach services for individuals battling cancer. I navigate life with courage and “Unwavering Faith” After living with Stage IVB Cervical Cancer. I am devoted mother, loving grandmother, author, and Community Leader. I have been blessed to share my powerful testimony on many platforms. I share my story to give God Glory and inspire others to walk by Faith and not by sight on this journey.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
What breaks the bonds between people is unforgiveness- holding onto hurt poisons the connection and turns love into resentment.
What restores them is humility- saying ” I was wrong” or ” I’m sorry “
Can unlock miracles of reconciliation.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
When I was battling stage IVB Cervical Cancer. I almost gave up!
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
My father is deceased, But I admired his character. He was the most loving, kindest, fair and respectful person I have ever known.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I would like them to tell
I did my best trying to lead with love and show others love as well
