We’re looking forward to introducing you to Kristin Jones-Coyle. Check out our conversation below.
Good morning Kristin, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day include waking my 12 year old son up, prayer. Great music and self care! Oh and I can’t forget. Cup of coffee!!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Kristin Jones-Coyle and I am the owner and lead artist of Perfect Pout Houston. My company is a mobile makeup service that brings the glam to a clients home or place of their choosing. I have had the honor to service the Houston and surrounding areas as a small business owner for the past 8 years full time and I love what I do!
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
I believed that the options were limited to only what I saw in front of me. My parents were awesome and worked for companies during my childhood having successful careers. I soon learned that you can be the company!! You can build the business that employs the community!!
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Bills are always due and in the business there will be slower seasons..during covid I had to shut my business down for almost a year as I couldn’t find a way to safely service my clients. We were all scared especially in the beauty industry as no events were happening and the world was on edge just trying to stay healthy. I thought we would never foresee a scenario where we would go back to life as we knew it prior to COVID. Little did I know. We are resilient as country and we found new practices to implement to ensure clients and artists safety. Here we are back and stronger than ever!
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would say that experiences with my loved ones is what matters most to me! I love creating memories with those I love!
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
I think my clients would miss my artistry and passion for service and makeup. I adore what I do and I’m often told that it’s evident in the way I service them! I am an artist that is serious about her craft and I want my clients to love our experience together always!
