We’re looking forward to introducing you to Rob Wiseman. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Rob, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Outside of work, training for a HYROX race has been something that’s really fueling me. I’ve gotten into running in a way I never expected—over the past year it’s gone from a challenge to a true passion. The discipline, the milestones, and the mental toughness I’ve built through it have been incredibly rewarding, and it’s a reminder that growth often happens outside your comfort zone
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Rob Wiseman, and I’ve spent my career at the intersection of real estate, construction, and finance here in Houston, Texas. I’m a partner at Closed Title Houston, where we’re building one of the most creative, investor-friendly title offices in the city—focused on giving builders, developers, agents, and investors a closing experience that feels seamless and supportive, no matter how complex the deal.
Alongside that, I lead Close Now Lending*, our private lending arm that provides fast, flexible financing options tailored for real estate investors.
What makes our work unique is that we’re not just another title office or lending company—we’re building a full ecosystem designed around helping real estate professionals scale and succeed. I’ve also stayed rooted in development myself, through projects ranging from duplex builds in Houston’s urban core to multifamily investments in San Antonio.
And outside of business, I run a nonprofit called *Birdies 4 Life Foundation*, which introduces kids from underserved communities to golf as a way to teach values, discipline, and confidence. For me, it all ties back to the same mission: creating opportunities, building lasting relationships, and making an impact in both business and the community.”
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
When I was younger, I thought certain paths in life were off limits because of where I started or what I didn’t know. Over time, I’ve learned that you don’t have to be limited by those beliefs you can build the skills, create the opportunities, and write your own story. That shift has shaped how I approach both my business and personal goals today
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me patience, perspective, and empathy. Success can make you confident, but it’s the hard seasons, the financial struggles, the setbacks, the long runs when you don’t think you can keep going that truly shape your character. They give you a deeper respect for the process and a gratitude for every win that follows.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
A project I’m committed to, no matter how long it takes, is growing *Birdies 4 Life Foundation*. I started it to introduce kids from underserved communities to golf not just to teach the game, but to use it as a tool to build confidence, character, and life skills. I believe deeply that golf can open doors and teach values that stick with kids far beyond the course. My vision is to impact 10,000+ kids a year across Houston, Texas, and eventually the U.S. It may take years to get there, but I’m committed for the long haul because the mission is bigger than me it’s about giving the next generation opportunities they might not otherwise have.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
If I knew I had 10 years left, I’d stop wasting time on things and people that don’t align with my purpose. I’d cut out distractions, excuses, and negativity, and put every ounce of my energy into my family, my faith, my health, and the projects that truly matter to me.
