Rosaline Abiodun shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Good morning Rosaline, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? Would YOU hire you? Why or why not?
Absolutely — I would hire myself repeatedly. I take pride in being highly professional in everything I do, and I consistently deliver results regardless of the size or scope of the job. Whether it’s a large-scale project or a small task, I approach it with the same level of dedication, attention to detail, and accountability.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Rozzyn’s kitchen provides an exceptional catering service for all kinds of events. We cater for Weddings, cooperate events, birthday parties, graduations, baby shower, bridal shower, funerals, housewarming parties and so on. We’re known in the Houston area for our creative mocktail drinks, customized drinks in pouches, Nigerian Shawarma, waffle sticks and ice-cream, fruit parfait, fruit cups, mini pancakes, watermelon cakes (all fruit), Rozzyn Tiger Nut Mixture and my new YouTube Channel I just launched, where I share some of my mouthwatering recipes. Cooking is a talent for me, so I’m a lady who works from my heart, no matter how small a job is, I ensure that I give it my best. For every event, we make sure it’s a memorable one for our clients. From our magnificent setup to fitting into the thyme of the party and paying close attention to details. Our focal aim is to ignite any party we’ll be offering catering services to and one thing I am most proud of is our growth over the years. I’m essentially a product of growth overtime.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
The top on my list would be betrayal of trust. I can’t stand deceitful people. There’s a quote that states that “Broken trust is like a melted cholate, no matter how you try to freeze it, it will never return to its original shape,” and what repairs such bonds would be taking responsibilities for one’s actions. The apologies must be sincere, accompanied by a lot of effort to fix such a relationship.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
That would be: “Thanks for not giving up on yourself or your dreams, despite everything life threw at you.”
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
I would say yes! When it comes to my creativity, sense of humor, generosity, hardworking nature, and caring personality — that’s all authentically me. I’m also naturally reserved, which people sometimes don’t expect because they often perceive me as bold. But the truth is, I can be shy too. So while people may not always see every layer of who I am, the version I show is still very real.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I believe I was born to do what I’m currently doing, because I find true fulfillment in it.
Growing up, I always dreamed of becoming a business owner. I wasn’t sure what kind of business I wanted to pursue, but over time, life’s challenges helped guide me. I truly believe God has a way of steering you toward the right path—often through experiences that shift your direction completely.
No regrets at all.
