We’re looking forward to introducing you to Zia “Dream” Sanders. Check out our conversation below.

Zia “Dream”, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my days, i love starting my days with slow and calculated mornings to prepare for the day founded on some “Choosing Dream First” Energy. I wake up around 8-9am, Do my morning skincare routine, prepare me some warm tea and a granola bar. I sit at my desk, pray, and then i open my calendar to make sure im on point for my tasks for the day. I respond to emails, DMS, and start creating a detailed outline of what my day could potentially look like. I normally have meetings scheduled as soon as 1130 am so i normally spend the rest of that 90 minutes preparing my first meeting.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Greetings! Im Dream. I am an Entrepreneur first and foremost. I work in management and public relations. I am currently a PR for Candy Baby, a female musician and Designer, and Monica Murray of She Live 97.5 Radio Station. I do offer my services as one time hire for business structure and strategies, creating Campaigns for talents, businesses, and all things scalable. I am also an air BNB host in short term rental arbitrage and i also have a vending machine business. I also teach how to get into those ventures and my website compiles of my step by step guides and e-books on how to monetize and scale social media, create online revenue, passive incomes, and strong digital online presence as a model and influencer. You can find that information On my website Stan.store/Dosesofdream.
What makes my business unique is ive created an ecosystem thats based on an education first system and providing real results for those that i work with and For.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Thats a really crazy question. I was actually just thinking about something along these lines just the other day. i want to start with, i was raised very religious and grew to be very spiritual. At first, i am an extremely calculated and strategic person and where i thought ive always been in control of everything, i really have let god and my ancestors guide me. so ive always really been who i was supposed to be. Ive known from day one i wanted to be in the entertainment industry and an entrepreneur. It was just about figuring out the steps on how to achieve those things. I mean, i defnitely had jobs in other fields, but they were just to keep me stable through school and while i was gaining experience. Im a taurus lol, ive always been clear on who i wanted to be and i spoke that into my life and let the universe guide me into that.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Honestly, So many times surprisingly lol Listen, as strong as everyone thinks i am because of how much ive been through and everything ive pushed through, im really a crybaby. Now, thankfully, my resilience overpowers my emotional breakdowns. Im very passionate about what i do and my growth and elevation so theres alot of times i hit walls and im like “UGH i cant keep going back to the drawing board”. At the drawing board is where the tears come in, then the release of those emotions causes an intense sense of gratitude and motivation and then im like, ya know, i got this. So as bad as it may sound, Giving up is part of my process lol.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
Oh, i love this question. I work in the entertainment industry and the entrepreneur industry and theres 1 major lie in both that those industries tell itself that until you enter the industry, you would never know the truth. Starting with the entertainment industry, its false that its open opportunity. The ent industry is very close-knitted, very much so more of who you know and not neccessarily what you know & thats for all positions played. Its publicized as if, if you put in x amount of work, or do this or that, youre guaranteed to make it & i have seen that not be the case, Especially because im based in the houston ent industry where the majority of the worlds actual talent is. Theres a viciously repititious cycle of how positions in the industry get funneled through houston into the mainstream industry and the politics that it takes and not the actual talent or knowledge.
Moving to the entrepreneur side, whew, The biggest lie is that its easy or that youll make alot of money because youre working for yourself. While its true that you do retain the majority of your revenue, it takes more money to make money so youre going to be broke until you start making returns on your investment in your venture. About it not being easy, most dont really understand that youre starting a business where youre playing all positions until you can afford to hire staff. The CEO, the accountant, the builder, the marketing agent, etc. All while still being broke so you almost HAVE to be working some type of job where youre making money to support yourself. Theres so many dynamics of being an entrpreneur that isnt talked about, yet people only see the glitz and glamour of creating your own schedule, keeping your money, and being a “Boss”.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
As a PR/Manager, They would definitely miss someone who believes i their business just as much as they do. Im very selective on who i work with and Who i work for. I have to believe in your vision just as much as you do, I put 100 percent of myself and my heart and my efforts into the success of my clients, not just because their sucess is my success lol But because people need that hand in hand, that hope, Full circle moment to my process on how i work, they need that person thats always going to cry with them and push them back to the drawing board so that they dont give up. My relationships with my clients have always went into the realms of being great friends and it makes their businesses blossom. I play the role of your advisor, mentor, consultant, lifestyle coach, and more all in the form of a best friend. Ill be missed most for being authentically a helping hand and visionary bestie instead of a traditional business partner.
