Today we’d like to introduce you to Siddik Lartey.
Hi Siddik, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
From the time I was a kid, or into my teen years I can remember having a knack for culinary creativity. When it comes to new and fun ways to reimagine some of your favorite and even the not so favorite foods, we invite the opportunity to enjoy our kitchen creations. Far too often in underserved communities nationwide, quality and healthy food options don’t exist, and if by chance they do it’s priced outside of the local community budget. Our goal is to combat healthy options scarcity, no matter your socioeconomic status people often make the most unhealthy food choices when they are the most hungry. We work closely with urban farmers and local food producers to serve up a “farm to fork freshness” that allows for all the true benefits of consumption of fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds. We make healthy eating Fun, Flavorful and Fulfilling.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Challenges have help to shape our identity, working to eliminate food waste and food insecurity take joint efforts. Partnerships and working relationships with urban agriculture in and around the greater St. Louis area. The unique and crippling phenomenon of COVID-19 changed food services sector permintly, we are greatful to have survived and still able to provide contributions towards healthy happy communities.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Everything we do we look to create Fun, Flavorful, Fulfilling experiences. Creativity cut and paired fruits and vegetables are our paint and brushes. Some of our signature recipes include “No Fry Apple Fritters” , “Watermelon Pizzas” and our “Jerk Blackbean Burritos”
