Today we’d like to introduce you to Zach Estrada.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
When I was growing up I was veey insecure of how skinny I was and never had the motivation to get better health wise, 3 years after graduating high school I was fed up with my physical appearance and was 1000% focused on fitness! I got a membership at 24 hour fitness in Pasadena Texas. Dedicated myself to working out 5 days a week for 6 straight months, THEN BOOM! Life changed! I was on top of the world! The attention I was getting from everyone was just insane and I was not used to it. When you become successfull in certain areas, some friends will envy you cause of your success. You have people who are so used to having the attention on them and when it reflects on you, some of those friends might not be as happy for your appearance as you may be. Other than that I can honestly say I’ve over succeeded in the fitness industry going on 14 years straight and never missed more than a month without some kind of physical exercise. Alot of peaks and valleys throughout the journey but it is so worth it and I can honestly say I haven’t been insecure about my body since 2012. I’m always staying on top of things and if I see just a slight change in weight. Whether it be gaining or losing I go extra hard and do what I need to do to get myself back where I need to be
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Absolutely not, I would say some of the hardest things going through my journey were losing some close friends, some just not being very understanding or having to do with jealousy. It’s still all love from a far. I remember who influenced my style, I remember who was there for me when i needed them, vice versa. I know for a fact they watching from a far and i know they are proud of me. I just know they will never admit that. The only person I feel that can get in your way is you. I feel like reading definitely changed my life in all shapes and forms and just having faith in GOD.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a longshoremen for the port of houston. I sail ships and tie up ships that come in from other countries and states and we make sure they are all tied up safely. I’m most proud of the journey it’s been. You start from the bottom and you’re pretty much on call 24/7. Sometimes you can be out with a friend or girlfriend and no matter what you’re doing, you need to go make that job when you’re on call. The more jobs you get, the more senority you will move up. You’re fighting with other people who got hired on the same time as you for a move up. It’s actually pretty competitive and I’ve always been a competitive person so I enjoyed it. I finally got my first break aka my promotion in 2020. Having said that, it wasn’t easy. Covid took a tole on me and I can honestly say I suffered through depression for 4 years. I got my next promotion in September of 2026. Life has never been better 💯 I’m going to finish this year strong. I’m most proud of sticking with my career, especially during tough times. My dad was very hard on me, especially with him working in the same company. Had a couple of beefs where I could’ve been terminated, when I went through a name calling scandal said against me in 2017. After that was handled I finally matured as not wanting to really give in to someone say if they were trying to pick a fight or argue I would just stick to minding my own buisness. I feel like what sets me apart from others is being in my mid 30’s and working out and still working hard. Alot of men in general seem to stop caring about themselves and let themselves go at 30. I could never do that. I worked to hard to get where I’m at in both work and working out. This will be my lifestyle forever. I’ve actually studied other people who are successful so that actually helps out alot
What do you like and dislike about the city?
I would say I love the people, I actually got to be apart of the show called the ISIAH FACTOR on FOX 26 and that really gave me a huge outlet for more followers and networking. It’s truly been a blessing and I’ll forever be grateful for that opportunity. What I like least about the city is how the crime rate is growing constantly year by year. We need to get that taken care of
