So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started as a single mother of 2 working as a Real Estate Agent. The idea of Go Bare came to me after a bad experience I’d had with laser hair removal treatments. I began to educate myself on lasers, took a course to become certified, and thought to myself, if I’m going to do this, I want to go all the way.
It was just something that I took and ran with. I sat at my work desk in my spare time coming up with a logo, working on my website, brainstorming ideas for marketing, and looking for the perfect location to start while waiting for the state to approve my certifications. I had no idea of how to be a business owner. Everything has been trial and error for me.
I’d invested so much time and money into this idea of mine that I knew there was no turning back. No chance of giving up. It’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made in life!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
This has hands down been the most difficult journey in my life. Although difficult, it has been rewarding. I still struggle a great deal as a business owner who works single-handedly. I am the owner, operator, receptionist, scheduler, problem solver, etc. all while being a full-time mother of now 3 children. It’s hard work, but I love it and I know that nothing worth having comes easy.

Go Bare specializes in laser hair removal. We provide laser hair removal at an affordable price. I’m most proud of the level of customer service I’ve been able to provide to my clientele. Customers can expect a much more intimate environment at Go Bare. My clients always know exactly who they’re dealing with when they come in. It’s always the same technician. We share so many stories and laughs. Everyone feels like family to me. I believe that’s what sets me apart from the bigger guys.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success to me is having a peace of mind knowing that you’re doing your very best. It’s failing over and over again but never giving up. I hope to one day soon inspire many young women to follow their dreams as well as guide them. Anything is possible.
