Meet Alena Banks of San Antonio, TX

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alena Banks

Hi Alena, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always had a love for photography since I was 9 years old. I always needed a camera in my hand for everything (birthday parties, trips, school events, etc.)
In school, I’ve gotten more practice with photography while being apart of the yearbook team. After graduating high school, I slowly began pursuing photography more professionally. 2014 was when it all began and I haven’t stopped since. I enjoy making beautiful memories for everyone and their families and collaborating with other creatives. I look forward to everything that’s coming next for me.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. I’ve had so many creative ruts on this journey. There were times that I was stuck and didn’t know if I should continue photography, but being able to speak with others that experienced the same thing, really helped me.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a Lifestyle & Fashion Photographer. I’m mostly proud of the work I’ve done, the accomplishments that happened for me.
What sets me apart from others is my eye for creativity and the content I create.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to me is gaining community relationships with everyone I work and create with. I feel that I wouldn’t be where I’m at if I didn’t put myself out there to meet people and gain so much knowledge from them and to come together to create beautiful things.
