Meet Alexis Noble

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexis Noble.

Alexis, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I am born and raised in Vicksburg, MS, the majority of my life. I’m 25 and I’m not limited to my talents, but I take on the titles fashion stylist, creative director and artist. I started paying to fashion all my life but I took more into when thrifting became something to brag about. I remember not wanting to thrift due to things being either old as in style or second hand. I then grew a customize to when I learn that I had a style and it was different from everyone else. Thrift is like one of a kind piece and I didn’t have to worry about looking like the rest. So my passion for fashion started there. I began styling in 2016 after graduating from Hinds Community College with associates in Fashion Merchandising. The year 2016, I travel to NY, NY to get insight on the fashion industry.

After that, I came back and knew that that’s what I wanted to pursue. So I ran up an old classmate that was into photography and began to start shooting on a camera with him. Twane and I are part coowners of our own photography studio or are still near pursue styling, mostly editorial styling and also creative directing shoots and directing visuals. I must say I’ve come along way with the quality of photos and also the eye that I have. Being from Mississippi, we are always late on the latest trend. Being from Mississippi, we are always late on the latest trends. Or early but we have no type of recognition for our own style. That’s why I can’t say I got it out the mud with what I had, which was thrift clothing. I may behave had shots to Designer’s and one of those designers are my best friend, Dominique White. but, a delayed the start me and I swear I am the way I am. A visionary for my state and wouldn’t like it any other way.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No, I don’t think everything was a smooth road but I am grateful that I went through the things that went through because if not I will not be here where I am now. I think one of the first struggles was being an accepted for the type of styling that I do is not a big norm here in Mississippi well now is becoming a norm but when I started, there was not many fashion photographer or fashion stylist in Mississippi.

Also, just being very limited on what I stay out and the resources. I can say the resources is very limited, especially when it comes to the exposure we do not get much exposure here and I’m very grateful that I get this interview in Houston Texas, because I have not been interviewed in the Mississippi period.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
I don’t want to say styling is my business but I do use my talents to make money. I specialize in editorial styling creative direction and also see his direction. I am most proud of the space that I have some creativity, which is my studio I’ve had a studio for the past three years and I can say it is my place. I think with sets me apart from others is my eye and also the team that is around me that helps contribute to my visions.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
It depends I see myself going into several directions due to whatever pulls me first. Like I said, I can be a creative director for a company. I can be a creative director for my company. I can be a fascist stylist for a company I’ve already been stellar for myself. The changes I see in my future is an expansion only just in the styling but into clothing getting merch our warehouse is also a warehouse for production as well
