Today we’d like to introduce you to Anitra Scott Fletcher.
Anitra, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
As a youth fashion played a key role in my life. It gave me the opportunity to express myself. Shopping was always fun and very adventurous. My mom would let my sister and I pick out our own clothes but of course, we were given a limit. My thoughts were if I choose unique items, I could create many different outfits. While attending U of H I got a job at Express Clothing Store in the Galleria.
I worked in the denim section as a Denim Expert. It was an experience of a lifetime. I learned all about men and women body types as well as what clothes to recommend my customers. Also, I learned if you have the right accessories it will bring your outfit to life. After three years, I switched my career path but fashion never left my heart. I continued styling friends and family members, not knowing I would discover my hidden talent. One day a close friend told me I should utilize my talent. I went into deep thoughts and said to myself she’s absolutely right. January 2019, I stepped out on faith and began my journey of becoming a business owner. I was driven and well determined to do whatever it took. God was with me every step of the way. March 2019, I launched my online boutique “Nichie’s Boutique”. Now I’m able to do what I love sell fabulous women clothing/accessories and continue being a personal stylist. Putting a smile on my customer’s face is priceless.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being a business owner is just like anything else it have its bumps in the road. But I’ve learned I’m not going to land every new contract, nail every presentation, or reach all of our sales goals. So its absolutely crucial that I celebrate even the smallest accomplishments. If I don’t recognize and celebrate the little victories, its too easy to get down on myself and feel like I’m not accomplishing anything. With that being said, I take it one day at a time and self motivate myself as needed. Also, I have a wonderful team that is well driven and willing to face any adversity’s. Overall I’m very happy and it is well worth it.

Nichie’s Boutique is high-end but yet affordable. We started our business to meet the demand of vintage, unique, classy clothing and accessories for women. Our goal is to transform your life. We’re offering services such as wardrobe consulting and color analysis… We are set apart from others because not only can women purchase wonderful clothing but they will always have a personal stylist available to assist. As a company, I’m most proud of the way we give women security and self-pride. Always remember fashion is life…
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
My proudest moments in my career is reaching my goals and accomplishments… Such as being featured in an inspiring magazine… I’m very humble and honored that I’ve been given the opportunity to reach women all over the world.
