Meet Christa Walton of pretty little faces Body Bar

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christa Walton.

Hi Christa , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey into aesthetics actually started later in life, and I think that’s what makes my story so special. I was 44 when COVID happened, and after spending 19 years in the same career, I realized I was ready for something completely different. I decided to take a leap of faith and start over in a brand-new industry — aesthetics.

I went back to school, learned an entirely new profession, and started building my business from the ground up. It was definitely scary leaving behind the security of a career I had been in for almost two decades, but I knew I wanted to create something that was truly mine.

What started as a career change quickly became a passion. I became obsessed with learning about skin, treatments, products, and the science behind aesthetics. I continued investing in education and expanding my services, and little by little, I built a business and a clientele that I’m incredibly proud of.

This December will mark five years in business, and when I look back, I’m amazed at how far I’ve come. I didn’t start in my twenties with a plan or a roadmap. I started at 44, took a chance on myself, and proved that it’s never too late to reinvent yourself.

For me, the biggest part of this journey has been realizing that sometimes the biggest risks lead you to the most rewarding chapters of your life. I didn’t just change careers — I created a career that I genuinely love.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Definitely not a completely smooth road! There have been plenty of bumps along the way. I opened my business immediately after graduating from school, so I knew how to perform the services, but I had absolutely no idea how to actually run a business.

I had to learn everything from marketing and attracting clients to pricing, finances, social media, and simply figuring out what worked and what didn’t. There was a lot of experimenting, trial and error, and plenty of ups and downs.

There were definitely moments when I questioned myself, but every challenge became a learning experience. I learned to adapt, keep going, and not be afraid to try something new.

Looking back, I’m actually grateful for the struggles because they forced me to grow—not only as a business owner, but as a person. I’m still learning every day, but I’m proud of the business I’ve built and how much I’ve grown since those first days.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I’m an advanced aesthetician and the owner of Pretty Little Faces, a boutique aesthetics business focused on results-driven, customized skincare and facial treatments.

I offer a variety of advanced treatments, including customized facials, dermaplaning, nano-needling, microneedling, chemical peels, hydrodermabrasion, oxygen infusion, corrective acne treatments, and specialized Korean skincare treatments. I’m constantly continuing my education and bringing new techniques and innovative treatments to my clients.

What really sets me apart is that I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Every person’s skin is different, so I take the time to understand my client’s skin, their concerns, and their goals before creating a treatment plan. I want every treatment to be intentional—not just something that feels good for an hour, but something that helps create real, visible improvement over time.

I also specialize in Korean-inspired aesthetics and advanced skin treatments, and I’m passionate about combining education, quality products, and effective techniques to help my clients achieve healthy, glowing skin.

But more than anything, I want people to know that Pretty Little Faces is about feeling confident in your own skin. I’ve built my brand around creating an elevated, personal experience where clients feel comfortable, cared for, and never judged.

I started this business because I wanted to create something of my own, and today, Pretty Little Faces represents much more than skincare to me. It represents taking a chance on yourself, continuing to grow, and helping other people feel their absolute best.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I think the aesthetics industry is going to grow tremendously over the next 5–10 years. I see a bigger shift toward personalized treatments, advanced technology, and focusing on overall skin health rather than quick fixes. Clients are becoming more educated about their skin and what they’re putting on it, so education and staying current will be more important than ever.

For me, that’s exciting because I never want to stop learning. I want Pretty Little Faces to continue evolving with the industry while staying focused on personalized care, quality treatments, and helping my clients feel confident in their skin.
