Meet Crystal Alexander of CSA3650HHH: Lifestyle & D.I.Y. Blog in Missouri City

Today we’d like to introduce you to Crystal Alexander.

Crystal, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Well, I am a lover of all things Life, Love & Food related! Being a part of Houston’s Event/Hospitality Industry already has provided me with amazing opportunities to attend all types of events and meet amazing people. Because of that, I decided to share with the world the great things I am able to do & partake in, outside of work, which they are able to do as well! Most of the people around me come to me in search of new and exciting things to do in and outside of Houston… and on a budget, because I am the LIVING MY BEST LIFE on a BUDGET Queen!! The idea of becoming a blogger came to mind so there could be one great place for all of my friends, family & the world could go and get tips on local food, dieting, self-care, traveling on a budget and my favorite… D.I.Y.’s!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Honestly, when I first started, it was actually fairly simple because I researched enough to get the blog going and to gain an audience via social platforms such as Pinterest. Because of the types of posts I created for the Blog, the algorithm of those sites worked very well in my favor and I was able to gain a profit! Now, unfortunately, I did hit a fork in the road when it came to the actual site that has caused me to have to start over again, not from scratch but close to it. The good news is that it has taught me to not rely on algorithm traffic as much and to focus on organic traffic and cultivating the relationship I have with my subscribers in order to grow and keep them coming back for more! It will be bigger & better!

CSA3650HHH: The Love of Life & Doing it Yourself, is a Lifestyle & D.I.Y. blog I started in 2018! The blog consists of four categories: Lifestyle, D.I.Y., Health/Diet & Travel. In each category, I share with the reader personal tips on how I tackle today’s trends and my experiences doing so. As of now, the blog gets a lot of attention when it comes to traveling on a budget and of course inexpensive D.I.Y. projects for the home & holidays! I am most proud of the support I receive from my subscribers and visitors, they keep me motivated to continue what I am doing and share my love for life with the world! I believe that being passionate about showing others that life can be lived without breaking the bank and being able to have the same quality experience is what sets my blog apart from the rest!

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Consistency is the most important aspect when you are a blogger. Sometimes, life hits you out of nowhere, but as a blogger you must also use those challenges to share with the world as well! Give your help and knowledge of a situation to assist others if/when they have to face those challenges in the future! It also accounts for how relevant your blog is in the blog world. You have to consistently create content and/or promote great content for your readers to stay on their radar as a source of useful and helpful information!
