Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
In China, there is a saying, “You have to overcome all obstacles in order to become the best of the best.” Eileen Dong’s journey certainly has not been easy. Ever since multiple domestic violence battery altercations, her life has never been the same. She went from multimillionaire to nothing. She had to stay at shelters, take greyhound buses, get rides from dangerous men who almost raped her… However, every adventure comes with dangers. This didn’t stop her. Because of that, she how can relay her pain and suffering to other victims and survivors. Instead, this strengthened her and put in her heart to dedicate herself to help other victims and survivors so as not to go through this again.

Please tell us about Hope Pyx Global.
In the Asian culture, a victim might have stayed in an abusive relationship because of a concept of honor or shame. Honoring the Asian heritage while also trying to honor their sense of freedom and justice in the Western culture, they saw getting help as bringing dishonor to his family and not an act of empowerment. Therefore, women do not dare to speak up, neither is there an Asian voice who understands their culture. As a survivor, Eileen Dong is here to break the silence. “If you build it, he will come.” She has founded Hope Pyx Global, a 501(c)3, dedicated to families from all background who are victims and survivors of domestic abuse, human trafficking.

She has successfully launched Hope Pyx Global in 50 days releasing the first PSA in 16 days with 8,400 combined social media views alone and highest post reach of 1,380 in 5 days. In 58 days Hope Pyx Global became part of Houston 20’s anti-human trafficking coalition. Her recent human trafficking awareness speech at the movie screening jointly with UNICEF and University of Houston Downtown (UHD) was a great success.

Hope Pyx Global has now expanded its footprints to help victims and survivors in California and Georgia.
