Today we’d like to introduce you to Elle (Elvira) Ballard.
Elle, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I am originally from Kazakhstan, the Soviet Union, I came to the United States 17 years ago and fell in love with this country. I graduated from University of St. Thomas with an MBA degree in Marketing. After my graduation, I worked in software companies in a marketing capacity for seven-plus years. I was responsible for marketing communication, online marketing and international business projects.
I worked full time and achieved the goals that I had set within then corporate environment at the time, but I realized I was not fully fulfilled, I always had a desire to be in my own business, building my own company. I knew America has so many opportunities but I did not know what it would look like and what that business would be.
When our company got sold out, I lost my job and that was the moment when I decided to become an entrepreneur.
My passion lies in motivating people and help them discover their true potential, I love adding value to people’s lives and building long-term successful relationships. I am with Toastmasters International and reaching the DTM level later this year which is a top level with this organization. I am a certified John Maxwell speaker and trainer. I am also with Toastmasters International and reaching DTM level later this year. I am passionate about personal growth and development. I am a professional Network Marketer and founder of the W.O.W. Network.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Definitely not a smooth road and still going through new obstacles and struggles every day but I am so grateful for the journey I am on because it lets me touch a lot of lives in a positive way and it helps shape me into a better person, partner, mother, and leader.
Keeping a positive mindset, focusing on the road ahead, focusing on wins, and continued personal development helps me keep the right perspective. I am also grateful for my mentors who are paving the way for me.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Elle Ballard story. Tell us more about the business.
My company is my brand, I am a professional network marketer, speaker, and an idea originator and co-founder of W.O.W. Network.
I am thrilled about my new venture – W.O.W. Network – Women of the World Network, which I launched along with my partners. I have been carrying this idea for a few years so it’s so great to see its finally here! Our group is open for all ladies out there from all walks of life and backgrounds: entrepreneurs, corporate employees, sit-at-home moms but our focus is multicultural women. We are all about educating, supporting, and adding value to multicultural women.
I love speaking and bringing value. My topics include speaking about transition from corporate to employee mindset, sales in the network marketing profession as an immigrant woman and personal growth and development topics.
What sets me apart is my commitment to growth and my commitment to contributing and positively impacting other people’s lives. The words that differentiate and describe me are mother to two beautiful daughters, wife, motivator, influencer, multicultural, professional network marketer, speaker, happy, joyful, and strong.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I believe we create our own luck. I do not rely on luck. Thomas Jefferson said: “I find that the harder I work, the more luck I seem to have.” I tend to agree with that. 🙂
In my personal life as well as career and business – everything I achieved was through learning the lessons through hard work and commitment to continue to push forward.
