Today we’d like to introduce you to Erika Livingston.
Erika, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I have always been the “go to” with all of my friends and family when it came to planning parties, trips, etc. it wasn’t until 2013 when I realized that event planning is something that I really love to do. After planning every single detail of my own wedding in January of 2017, I decided that I should turn my passion into my business.
Has it been a smooth road?
I would say the biggest struggle that I have faced along the way is getting people to believe in my brand. There is nothing easy about getting people to believe that you are the right person for the job.

Erika Nicole Designs is an event planning company. We will plan any type of event all while giving the most personable experience possible. Our goal is for clients to become friends; we strive to build relationships.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I definitively believe that Houston is a great place for event planners. The city is huge and full of opportunities. There is always an audience for your work; you just have to figure out how to target them.

Hello Erika, my name is megan and I am having a 30th birthday party August 24th. I’ve seen some of your work and wanted to get in touch regarding pricing for day of services. I’ve pretty much hired most vendors expect caterers, and I’m contempating pipe and drape for a more formal look as my venue is shared space on Preston St. Also thinking about a photobooth but cost is an issue so it is on the fence.
