At a young age of 14 years old I decided to start my own businesses. This is when I found the need for websites and ranking. At this point, my career began as a freelance web designer and marketing specialist. One of the first areas of study I targeted is Search Engine Optimization because I needed customers to see my products! I researched and studied everything there is to know about SEO (Search Engine Optimization).
Sooner rather than later I was ready to implement what I taught myself. I had a little under a dozen projects that got ranked on the first page by the time I was in my mid 20’s. Part of SEO is also knowing how to build websites. At this age, there was no such thing as WordPress, content management systems, or framework. It was all handwritten HTML for everyone at this point. So making your own site with SEO was rather difficult.
Soon after my few successes in building multiple companies their own websites, I decided on a career change as a sales representative for a company called The Great Indoors. I moved to Colorado and was in 100% commission sales for about 5 years. Well, that was a fun journey but I realized I liked making websites and working on search engine rankings more. So in the end, I moved back to Houston and found an appliance company that sold luxury appliance who needed my services.
I created a national SEO site in which not only local but people in other states could see my results for “luxury appliance” and “high-end appliance”. This is the moment pressingtrade.com was born. I became one of the best at SEO and made people a lot of money. So I wanted to continue making people a lot of money via search engine traffic. Pressingtrade.com is my personal company as a freelance SEO specialist. knowing business models well from my experience, I decided never to hire or outsource and to personally handle all projects.
Since then I have not only created national SEO results for out of state companies but I also created my own company that is extremely successful called Hot Shot Dog Grooming. Why not use my specialty for my own future! My portfolio is mid-sized, helping medium and small business, not including my own grooming company.
To this day, all of my clients are on the first page for very difficult keywords both locally and nationally. Everyone is happy. My grooming company comes up #1 of course in Houston as well so I am happy. Now I want to keep expanding my personal company pressingtrade.com and give more small business first page results like I have done for my current clients.
Right now I am discounting SEO services due to the fact I was severely flooded by Hurricane Harvey. So I need extra jobs and willing to give even bigger discounts for fellow Hurricane Harvey victims. The event was crippling but the phrase “Houston strong” is true. We are indeed some very tough people! I am ready to help and if whoever is ready and needs a true SEO specialist with actual Houston results, we can talk!
Has it been a smooth road?
It has been very smooth up until the disaster. It has affected the whole city majorly and at the same time, the tech industry is in a major free fall. This free fall has been caused by “do it yourself” websites claiming to be SEO website. So people are falling for the claim, spending money and not getting real SEO. In the end, the tech industry struggle against the bogus claims by “website builders” is causing a horrible mess for real SEO companies.
This will all be corrected over time but for now, more and more people are leaving out professional website developers thinking they can do what has taken a decade or more to master. The do it yourself websites is like purchasing a scooter and calling it a car. It might get you from A to B but in the ends, everyone knows it just won’t work out for a long-term vehicle. Not to mention how slow and unreliable a scooter is compared to a car.

Houston is a powerhouse and will always be one of the best places to do business in the country. All of the oil companies are moving down here because of the power in this city. If you are new to business, this city is highly competitive so you will need a marketing specialist (like me). But once you get going, it is very easy to maintain a successful business in Houston and Greater Houston.
