Today we’d like to introduce you to Porscha Henderson.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Porscha. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I was born in Shreveport, Louisiana and raised in Houston, Texas. I attended San Jacinto College and graduated from their nursing program in 2017. Although nursing is my first passion, I’ve always dreamed of becoming a girl boss and starting my own business. What begin as a simply idea has turns into something phenomenal. The idea of taking photos and sharing with others has been staple in our society, made more so recently with the advent of social media. However, we believe that our clients and guests want to share their memories for decades to come with quality photos and videos we provide.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Entrepreneurship is definitely not easy, especially while working full time, continuing my education, and being a wife, it’s just not enough time in a day to get much rest. My main obstacle that I faced was coming out of my shell. I’m an introvert, so I’m learning that in order to run a business I must network and networking requires me to get out of my comfort zone and be more sociable. Most importantly, the time that I spend with my family and friends is very limited due to my busy schedule, but I’m grateful they’re very understanding and support my vision.
A Glitz and Glam Photobooth – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
A Glitz and Glam Photobooth service all events, from weddings to corporate events, birthday parties for children and adults, sponsoring a well-known networking company, school events, and everything in between. We strive to create everlasting memories with polite attendants, amusing props, and price you can’t beat. We take pride in our service; you deserve the very best and that’s what you’ll get.
What sets us apart from other photo booth companies is that we don’t limit our services by catering to a certain audience. Since our humble beginnings, we’ve expanded to a variety of events such as a hookah lounge, clubs, and one of Houston’s top bar and grill on a regular basis.
Our I pad photo booth use a professional-grade camera with LED lighting that has over 120+ different colors to match your party scheme, GIF, boomerang, black and white photos, green screen, filters, and a gallery that you and your entire guest can download instantly to your phone through text, email, or Airdrop. Prints are in full-color and only take ten to fifteen seconds, plus you can print out as many photos as you’d like thanks to our efficient printer and courteous attendants that will guide you through the entire process.
What has been the proudest moment of you career so far?
I’m most proud when my clients are satisfied and express that “we’ve saved their event”. Not only are our clients satisfied but their guest express their interest in booking an event as well.
My second proudest moment is when a well-known rapper from Houston reached out to us to do an event!
