Today we’d like to introduce you to Gloria Moreno.
Gloria, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I have always had a passion for creative and artistic work but it wasn’t until I was Matron of Honor to my sister in law, and wanted to make something special for her that I made my first paper flower wall. The wall turned out to be the focal point of the shower and most importantly made the bride very happy! In fact, it was such a hit that guests at the shower were requesting my contact information. That night I couldn’t stop thinking about how rewarding it was to create something that brought so much joy to people and the possibility of finally starting my own business. For many years, I dreamt of starting a business where I could do what I love and still have the flexibility to be there for my family; because after all they are my motivation. To this day our business continues to grow.
Has it been a smooth road?
I can’t say it’s been easy. We have come across several struggles. Some of the main challenges have been capital, studio/storage space, and transporting. Fortunately, I have a wonderful support system in not only my husband but my family and friends as well.
So, let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Glo Paper Flowers story. Tell us more about the business.
We specialize in paper flower decor and backdrops for weddings and other special events.
What sets us apart from other companies is our variety of pre-made walls and our ability to personalize them to fit our clients vision all while keeping their budget in mind.
I am most proud of the satisfaction and gratitude expressed by our clients.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I see this industry growing and products like ours becoming more in demand. We are always working to create new options and will be rolling some new ones out very soon.
