Knowing that you can make a milk out of hemp hearts Jalesa got into the kitchen to work on a recipe. After much trial, error, and client feedback Fiya Mylk was birth in Jalesa’s mothers kitchen. Fiya Mylk is a dairy-free beverage that fuels the body with organic hemp seeds. Those seeds are tiny treasures of nutrition, known for their high protein and essential omegas. No, the Fiya Mylk journey has not been easy. To name a challenge in particular we have deal with constantly is being indirectly related to the cannabis industry. Consumers who are not informed about hemp and it’s benefits are usually resistant to trying Fiya Mylk. Our most frequently asked question about our products is ” Am I going to get high?” The answer is No. Our products have no THC in them. We face the negative correlation of hemp and marijuana daily. With this being a challenge this brings opportunity to educate consumers to assist them in making an informed buying decision.

What were you like growing up?
I considered myself a vibrant child. I was very active and outgoing. I started playing sports at an early age and all throughout high school. I always showed entrepreneurial skills. I was the kid in elementary selling all types of things out of a Glad bag. I was selling everything ranging from bubble gum to pencil erasers. I have always been the center of attention making people laugh, telling jokes, just spreading all my good energy around.
