Today we’d like to introduce you to James Jacobs.
James, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I start creating fliers for my father’s church at the age of 16. From there, people saw my work and wanted the same quality. Since then, I have been working in Graphic Design and Marketing for many businesses of all types, both big and small.
I pride myself in specializing in helping small businesses by providing them the same level of graphic and web design as any other high end or Fortune 500 company.
Everyone deserves that type of quality and care. I have been doing just that for that last 18+ years.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No has not! Being an entrepreneur has its ups and downs. There a lot of seed sowing and investment on the front end that you will have to sometimes wait out to see the fruits of your labor.
There has been many days of wondering how am I going to sustain the business or provide the services to my client.
My of my struggles came with lessons that allow me to better service my clients.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the YaLife Media + Marketing story. Tell us more about the business.
YaLife Media and Marketing is a full-service graphic, website, video editing, and media company. We are simple a one-stop shop to your business and media needs. I am constantly learning and investing in myself to be in the current trends so I can better serve my clients.
I am proud to say that my company has help bring wealth to many startups and small businesses. To see them flourish and grow, give me joy to know I was somewhat a part of that.
What sets us apart is we provide quick turnaround. Many graphics design have long turnaround times. I try to help the client as many are juggles with other projects, family, and jobs to get their project off the ground.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
To be honest, I don’t believe in luck. I believe in God and that if I honor him, he would provide open doors for me.
Bad situations are simply learning lessons.
