Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennyfer Bernal.
Jennyfer, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do once I finished high school. I finished some college but I felt like it wasn’t for me… I took some time off school to try to figure out what I wanted to do with my life and I wasn’t quite sure. As time went by I would watch YouTube videos on makeup, for some reason I would enjoy it. Personally, I’m wasn’t into makeup.
I would just slap some foundation on and eyeliner. 2019 came and I focused more on eyeshadow and everything else. I really got into the make up world and that’s what started “Glam by Jennyfer” at first it was hard since I didn’t really have clients but the more I posted my work, the more people would notice me. I feel like it was hard at first but being consistent and showing your work it calls people’s attention.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It honestly hasn’t been the easiest thing for me since I have barely started but I have managed to accept that once you start NEVER give up and keep moving forward showing people what you’re capable of even if you feel like aren’t doing good, you really are! Always be positive of what you do.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Glam by Jennyfer story. Tell us more about the business.
I specialize in makeup, makeup has become a really special part of me. Something that has me feel like it’s different from others is that everyone has their own way of doing certain things. The way I apply makeup, the way I interact with my client. I always make sure my client feels comfortable and not in an awkward position.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
It has played a really good luck in mine. It has shown me how good I can be at something I never thought I’d be good at.
