Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberly Munsinger.
Hi Kimberly , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I came from an oil and gas background worked in that field for 20 plus years. In 2014-2015 had been laid off from oil and gas due to plant closure. Worked for other companies for a bit and was looking for something that allowed me flexibility, to not miss all my kid’s activities. I answered a Facebook post for an assistant needed. I went to work for Mr. Rick Coulter at that time answering phones and talking to clients, setting up appointments. Over the years Mr. Rick taught me how to look at jobs and know what I was looking for. I taught myself to bid jobs. Mr. Rick has also been teaching Chaly in the field everything so that he could not have to be on sight as much. After several years Mr. Rick started having health issues, he did not have a wife or kids, so he came to Chaly and myself and told us he wanted us to take over the company if something were to happen to him and keep the legacy going. We had set up an LLC for the new company and were starting to make payments to him so as he told me he could just come in a watch TV instead of being on the job sites all the time. In August of 2021 Mr. Rick had a heart attack and passed away. After getting everything line out and back on track Chaly and I have been running the Company since 2021 we now have grown and purchased land, built a new shop and have started doing bigger projects.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It was very hard at first, we were dealing with the death of the original owner, and girlfriends and friends showing up wanting things that they stated he was going to give them. We incurred a lot of his personal debt since he had everything in one account.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We are a construction company that specializes in Bulkheads, boat dock, boat houses on lake Conroe and other surrounding areas.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
Never take anything for granted you do not know what will come of tomorrow. Hard work does pay off.
