Today we’d like to introduce you to Kirk Kinart.
Hi Kirk, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey to owning Print Max is probably a little different than most people would expect! My background was actually in geology and gold mining, so the printing industry wasn’t necessarily where I imagined I’d end up. But sometimes the best opportunities in life are the ones you don’t see coming. As we moved to The Woodlands, I wanted to pursue something where I can contribute and be a part of the community and that’s when Print Max came about.
In June 2001, I purchased Print Max in The Woodlands, Texas, and what started as a new business venture has turned into 25 years of doing something I truly enjoy. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to grow the business, build lasting relationships with our customers, and work alongside a great team of people who take pride in what they do.
The printing industry has changed tremendously since I first started. Technology has evolved, customer needs have expanded, and we’ve continued adapting to offer everything from traditional business printing to signage, promotional products, and much more. One of the most rewarding parts has been seeing the variety of projects that come through our doors, including materials that end up being used all over the world.
Today, Print Max is a family-owned and operated business, and I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built. We’ve been fortunate to earn the trust of so many businesses and organizations throughout The Woodlands and Greater Houston area, and being recognized as “Best of The Woodlands” means a great deal to us.
At the end of the day, what has kept me in this business for 25 years is pretty simple: I enjoy helping people. Whether it’s a small project or a large, complex order, our goal has always been to provide quality work, dependable service, and a personal touch that keeps customers coming back.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I would say we’ve been fortunate to have a relatively smooth road over the years. Of course, no business goes 25 years without a few challenges. The printing industry has changed a lot since I purchased Print Max in 2001, so staying current with technology and adapting to our customers’ needs has always been important.
Through it all, we’ve been lucky to have a small, but mighty hardworking team and loyal customers who have helped us grow. I’ve always believed that if you treat people right, provide quality work, and stand behind what you do, the rest tends to fall into place.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
At Print Max, we specialize in helping businesses and organizations bring their ideas to life through quality printing. From business cards, brochures, and booklets to banners, signage, promotional products, and everything in between, we offer a wide range of services to meet our customers’ needs.
What really sets us apart is our personal approach. We’re a family-owned and operated business, and we take pride in building lasting relationships with our customers–unlike the big chains. We don’t just want to complete a print job; we want to be a trusted partner they can count on. We are perfectionists when it comes to getting our customers’ products right and will take the time to make sure it’s exactly what they envision. We are real people who care!
I’m especially proud of the reputation we’ve built in The Woodlands over the past 25 years. Being recognized as “Best Printing, Graphics & Copy Services” in Best of The Woodlands is a tremendous honor, but what means the most to me is having customers who continue to trust us with their projects year after year.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I think the printing industry will continue to evolve as technology advances, but I don’t see the need for quality printed materials going away anytime soon. Even in today’s digital world, businesses still value something tangible that they can put directly into their customers’ hands, such as business cards, brochures, restaurant menus, etc.
Over the next 5 to 10 years, I expect we’ll see continued growth in personalized printing, promo products, and more efficient production technology. Customers will want faster turnaround times, more customization, and creative ways to make their brands stand out.
