Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristen Jackson.
Hi Kristen, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Creativity has always been my foundation. I started as a musician, playing drums for my church—captivated by the way sound can shape memory and emotion. In the early days, I wasn’t chasing perfection—I was chasing feeling. That drive to make people feel something real became the thread that’s run through everything I’ve built since.
As I expanded into content strategy, audio production, and sound design, I noticed a pattern: incredibly talented creatives were stalling—not because of a lack of skill, but a lack of support systems. I built It’s Krizi’s Productions to solve that. It wasn’t enough to just offer editing or recording—I wanted to offer infrastructure, strategy, and high-touch creative support.
I’ve always played the long game. Alongside my creative work, I also became a licensed life insurance agent and financial coach—because helping artists secure the bag means teaching them how to keep it. That dual expertise lets me guide clients both creatively and financially, from soundboard to scalability.
Today, It’s Krizi’s Productions is a multifaceted creative studio and consulting house. I serve indie artists, entrepreneurs, and storytellers who want more than content—they want clarity, confidence, and control over their craft and cashflow.
From high-level audio services to collaborative creative virtual experiences, I help people build sustainable careers rooted in both artistry and ownership. Every project I touch is rooted in care, culture, and long-term vision.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t been a smooth road—but it’s been a meaningful one. I started this journey with a clear vision but limited resources, which meant I had to do it all: produce, edit, design, direct, manage client relationships, and build systems—often all in the same week.
One of the ongoing challenges has been capacity. I’ve grown enough to bring freelancers on board, but scaling with a full-time team hasn’t always been financially sustainable—so I still wear a lot of hats. That can be creatively energizing, but it’s also exhausting. Delegation becomes harder when you’re the creative engine and the operational backbone.
I’ve had to learn how to balance ambition with endurance. How to pace myself while still delivering excellence. How to hold space for both big vision and tight timelines. There were times when client projects stretched beyond scope, or revenue didn’t match the workload, and I had to dig deep to stay aligned with my purpose rather than just chasing the next check.
But every setback sharpened the structure. I became more intentional with my time, more selective with my energy, and more committed to building a business that honors both my creative craft and my personal sustainability.
Today, I’m still building—but from a more empowered place. The road’s not easy—but it’s mine, and it’s leading somewhere real.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m the founder of It’s Krizi’s Productions—a creative studio that blends premium audio production, content strategy, and visual storytelling for independent artists, entrepreneurs, filmmakers, and purpose-driven brands. At the core, I help creatives sound better, look sharper, and build with intention.
My work spans everything from recording sessions and mixing/mastering to brand launch campaigns, live content direction, and financial coaching. I’m also a licensed life insurance agent and financial educator, helping creatives build stability behind the scenes—so their art doesn’t come at the cost of their future.
I specialize in high-touch, story-driven production—where every sound, visual, and message is aligned with the bigger picture. Whether I’m engineering audio for a visual project, designing a content system for a brand, or coaching an artist through their first rollout, my goal is always the same: to create with clarity, quality, and care.
I’m known for my ability to bridge the gap between creative chaos and structured execution. I don’t just bring vibes—I bring strategy.
I’m proud of the way I’ve built this business from the ground up, without outside funding or a big team—just vision, grit, and a commitment to helping creatives thrive. I’m proud of the artists and brands I’ve helped go from scattered to scalable and I’m proud that I’ve made space for both the art and the infrastructure behind it—especially in a city as vibrant and talented as Houston.
I operate at the intersection of art and strategy. Most producers or content creators specialize in what you see or hear. I go deeper—I help you build the why behind it. My experience as both a sound designer and financial coach gives me a unique edge: I care about what your work sounds like today, but I’m also invested in how your career sustains tomorrow.
On top of that, I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all. Every client I work with gets custom support tailored to their goals, capacity, and creative rhythm. It’s not just about getting a product—it’s about building a process.
