Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Maria Moffe.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I have always had a serious passion for making films since I was very young. I have worked for international companies all over the globe, which led me to start my own production company at 23. I specialized in wedding films which grew to those same couples getting married, to starting a family, and because we had remained in touch since the start of their journey as one, they wanted me to remain capturing their families in the same style I filmed their wedding.
Please tell us about your art.
I do you mostly wedding films, which has led me to a wedding photography, and now family lifestyle and much more. I have recently started my new journey on recording families that want to preserve the essence of their ancestry. Specifically, filming family reunions or the terminally ill that want their families to hear a message loud and clear about their lives that they may never have known, and it wouldn’t have to become lost in translation for decades to come. Recording moment like grandparents sharing their love story, recipes, favorite moments in life, advice for their great grandchildren, or young terminally ill parents that simply want to give a toast at their children’s wedding can be possible. It is absolutely priceless and incredibly rewarding to be able to do that for some families that believe it would never be possible. I love filming every part of life’s emotional moment, from miraculous births, to romantic weddings, to the sentimental and touching memorials. I hope people take away that I do my best to capture the whole family as they live their daily lives because that’s where I find the most beautiful smiles and moments are hidden, in our most natural state. I put my heart and soul into every piece I capture, I hope my craft reflects that.
Given everything that is going on in the world today, do you think the role of artists has changed? How do local, national or international events and issues affect your art?
I like to think my role has only become more and more crucial.
How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
