Meet Layla Cain of Candy Cain Clothing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Layla Cain.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Layla. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I have been modeling since I was two years old. My mother, Brittney Cain who is also my momager and my father, Edwin Cain, has supported my modeling and acting career since the beginning. While I have never been with an agent, I’m known best for my “Twinkie Wednesday.” Every Wednesday for two years I have dressed up as a celebrity to show homage, appreciation, love, and or support! In return, I’ve been reposted on many of your favorite celebrities, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook pages. I have been featured on most of your local news channels and a host of fashion shows.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road! When I was only 13 days old, I was hospitalized for two weeks with GBS. My mother and father say day in and day out in hopes I would pull through while in NICU. Fortunately, God saw me fit to be here and acting in the talents he has blessed me through. Through this journey, I am thankful and have overcome many obstacles since starting this career.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
Recently, my baby fashionista sister Lacy Cain and I launched a children’s clothing line together, Candy Cain Clothing. We’re most proud about the clothing line because the pieces represents our personalities, character, and style. My sister and I both are known for fashion. However, I have the strongest background in the field being that I’ve been training since age two. What sets me apart from others is I’m not afraid to conquer my fears. When one door closes, another one opens. I believe that your gifts will make room for you and when it’s your time; it’s YOUR time!

What were you like growing up?
While I’m still growing up, I will say I am very open minded and thankful. I’m always so appreciative for every opportunity I receive.
