Today we’d like to introduce you to Megan Heard.
Megan, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I was 17 when I began working at my cousin’s bridal boutique, Houston Bridal Gallery. I started as a receptionist and then moved into sales. I quickly fell in love with celebrating every brides, “moment”. When I moved to Dallas, I continued to work in bridal as a sales consultant at LeAnns bridal as well as their marketing representative, visiting venues and building relationships.
In December of 2019, I got to go to Bridal Fashion week in New York and fully immerse myself into all things wedding. From Couture designers to the celebrities of Say Yes to The Dress, I was in absolute bridal heaven. I decided my love for helping brides have their most perfect moment, and most perfect day was truly where my heart was which led to wedding planning. Every couple I have worked with is so special to me! They say when you do something you love, you never work a day in your life, and I truly believe that now.
Has it been a smooth road?
Overall it has been smooth because this truly never feels like “work” to me. I genuinely want to get to know my brides on a deeper level than just a client. After all, this is your wedding day, the day you marry the love of your life! The only struggles I guess you could say I had was that I have played so many parts in the industry, I was always unsure of where my actual “place” was…but after I got to plan my first wedding, and then experience my own wedding, I knew wedding planning was where I was meant to be.

My company is called The Best Day Ever. The inspiration behind that is because that is my goal, that is what I want for you, is to make sure you have The Best Day Ever. I specialize in creating, organizing, and bringing your dreams to life, all things wedding. I am most proud of the amount of support I have received since starting. I am also proud of myself for taking the leap, putting myself out there and showing people my heart. Bridal is where my passion is! I feel like what sets me apart is my desire to help others achieve what they want. I am very personable, relatable, and can communicate effortlessly. I listen carefully and put my brides first.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Absolutely! Houston is one of the top places in Texas to get married…but I also feel like when you lead with your heart, you can bring your passion anywhere and find success.
