Meet Nazia Frank of So Fully You in Central

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nazia Frank.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Nazia. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Growing up, I was very active in sports, and had a pretty healthy diet. That lifestyle I was living was mostly due to my environment, and as I transitioned into adulthood that became more difficult to obtain. I ended up gaining the typical “Freshman 15” plus some and became very unhealthy. My senior year of college I decided to get back into the gym and focus on a healthier lifestyle. I took a nutrition class my last semester and became very intrigued with the knowledge I was gaining. I ended up having a set back with my health and fell into depression. That is when I realized that being healthy wasn’t all about working out, it is your all-encompassing wellness. After college I worked in a few non-profits that helped youth, with a focus on health. I really enjoyed creating curriculum to help them focus on being healthier physically, mentally and emotionally, but I was limited with what I could do. Over the years, I realized that I wanted to do more and reach as many adolescents as possible, so I started So Fully You.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Starting a new business is difficult for most. My personal experience with that was redefining my audience. I originally planned to help women of all ages, but quickly realized that my passion was with adolescents and teaching them about maintaining a healthful lifestyle beyond youth.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the So Fully You story. Tell us more about the business.
So Fully You is a nutrition and wellness program that focuses on the idea that what you eat, how you think, and what you do affects your overall well-being. We educate youth on all dimensions of wellness, with an emphasis on physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. Some of the services we offer are wellness workshops, youth camps, school or youth organization speaking engagements, cooking classes, and various other seminars. Our goal with doing this is to teach adolescents that becoming So Fully You is the mindset of knowing you are capable of reaching your full potential by being fit in all aspects of your life. As a company, we are very proud that we focus on each individual having their own voice in the planning and implementation of their goals, Youth voice is most important when teaching adolescents to take ownership of their future. Setting that accountability on them allows youth to maintain those positive habits with wellness.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I do not believe in luck, I believe in purpose and destiny. Anything that has happened up to this point that has not gone my way has been a learning experience. The more I learn the more I can share with my audience, and help change lives.
