Meet Sean of Apollo Ink Solutions and Artemis Supply Co

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sean.

Hi Sean, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey has been anything but traditional. Before becoming an entrepreneur, I served five years in the U.S. Army, including a 13-month deployment to Afghanistan. That experience shaped a lot of who I am today, my discipline, resilience, and willingness to keep moving forward even when the path wasn’t completely clear.

After leaving the military, I explored different creative and business paths before eventually finding my way into the paramedical tattoo industry. What started as learning a specialized skill quickly became something much bigger. I founded Apollo Ink Solutions and built my reputation around stretch mark rejuvenation and scar revision, working directly with clients while also developing and teaching my techniques to other professionals.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with more than 1,500 clients and train over 300 professionals across the U.S. and internationally. My work has taken me across 26 major cities throughout the United States—many of them multiple times—as well as Vancouver and Toronto in Canada, London in the United Kingdom, Sydney, Adelaide, and Melbourne in Australia, and Auckland, New Zealand.

What began as a service I was passionate about ultimately grew into an international career, allowing me to work with people from different backgrounds, educate other professionals, and build relationships across an industry that I never originally imagined would take me around the world.

As I became more involved in the industry, I started seeing gaps—especially when it came to products specifically designed for paramedical tattoo artists. That ultimately led me to create Artemis Paramedical Tattoo Supply Company. Instead of simply working within the industry, I wanted to help improve the tools, products, and resources available to the professionals in it.

Today, I’m continuing to build Artemis while also launching Mr. Bye Bye, a consumer-focused hair and scalp care company centered around hair-loss support and confidence. My focus has gradually shifted from being primarily a service provider to building brands, developing products, educating professionals, and creating businesses that can have an impact far beyond what I could accomplish working with one client at a time.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I’m still very much in the middle of the journey. I have much larger goals ahead of me, but when I look back at where I started, I’m proud of what has been built. More than anything, my story has been about continuing to evolve, taking calculated risks, learning from mistakes, motivating, and being willing to reinvent myself when I see a bigger opportunity.

We’ve been impressed with Apollo Ink Solutions and Artemis Supply Co, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My work has primarily centered around the paramedical tattoo industry, with a specialization in stretch mark rejuvenation, scar revision, and scar-focused treatments. Through Apollo Ink Solutions, I’ve spent years working directly with clients to improve the appearance of stretch marks and scars while also developing techniques and training other professionals in the industry.
Over time, I became known not only for the results of the work itself, but also for the education behind it.
One of the things I’m most proud of is that I was able to take something that began as a service-based business and turn it into something much larger. I didn’t want to simply perform treatments forever—I wanted to help move the industry forward. That mindset eventually led me to create Artemis Paramedical Tattoo Supply Company, where I began developing professional products specifically for artists working in paramedical tattooing, scar revision, and stretch mark rejuvenation. These products have advanced the industry.
For me, Artemis represents the next chapter of what I’ve been building. After years of working hands-on with clients and training artists, I had a very clear understanding of what professionals actually needed from their products.
I think what sets me apart is that I’ve experienced nearly every side of the industry. I’ve been the practitioner working with clients, the educator training professionals, the business owner building a service company, and now the founder developing products for the same professionals I spent years working alongside.
I’ve also never been interested in simply following what everyone else is doing. I’m constantly looking at how something can be improved—whether that is a treatment technique, a training program, a product, or an entire business model. A large part of my success has come from being willing to experiment, refine, learn from mistakes, and continue evolving.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
five to ten years we are going to see it mature significantly.
One of the biggest shifts will be professionalism and standardization. Right now, there can be a huge difference in education, techniques, products, and protocols from one practitioner to another. As the industry grows, I believe we will see stronger training standards, more emphasis on safety and documentation, better product development, and a greater expectation that practitioners truly understand the skin rather than simply learning a technique.
I also think we are going to see much more specialization. Paramedical tattooing is becoming broader than traditional camouflage tattooing. Stretch mark rejuvenation, scar revision, scar lightening, scalp work, post-surgical treatments, and other restorative services are continuing to develop into their own specialties. Practitioners are becoming more educated, clients are becoming more informed, and the technology and products available to us are improving.
Another major change will be the products themselves. For a long time, professionals in this space were often adapting products created for other industries. I believe the future is going to be purpose-built formulations, devices, aftercare, and tools developed specifically around paramedical treatments. That is a major reason I created Artemis. I saw an opportunity not only to participate in where the industry was going, but to help push it forward.
