Today we’d like to introduce you to Success Nwosu.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I grew up in a Nigerian household with two parents. My father James Nwosu and mother Patience Nwosu. My parents are very big on education and accomplishments. Therefore I think it’s safe to say the expectation was high.
My father work with the criminal justice system as a director for the hearing board and my mother worked as a social worker and ran a Home healthcare business. I was raised in a household of two me and my brother. I played a lot of sports football track but eventually got off onto wrong path separating from my brother what we both found ourselves in trouble. My brother had been in and out in trouble for sometime. But me of the youngest was definitely new. I’ve never forget the day I was hauled off and phone my parents into the squad car charged with aggravated robbery and organize crime switch I will send it to 15 years. This was hard on my fathers considering his heart condition.
My father later passed away before my sentencing. Moving on from there I try to Involve myself in all the right things academic wise accomplish getting my GED while I was incarcerated. And somewhere in the middle course of me serving my time I was sent to a Christian faith-based program. Where I was able to holistic give my life to God. From there they had a lot of programs that I also had made use of like Toastmasters, video photography, quest for manhood, journalism, the business expo which is kind of similar to shark tank or a different business investors come out to invest in the businesses that we create.
And most importantly the theater arts program which Edrick Brown was the mentor for immediately when I met Edrick I was able to create a solid bond with him and of course after the bed the reality show was great. The show was filmed from inside prison till when I got out immediately when I got out I pursued part of my dream which was getting into college. Which I now am pursuing my masters for corporate communications. But upon my release I started working in a warehouse in sales department at Gallery Furniture but all that came to a halt. When I was shot 2015 Of November in my spine when somebody attempted to rob me to some degree I was told I was paralyzed I won’t be able to walk again.
But immediately from there I went through a lot of therapy and I was able to get back on my feet. I mean my life totally flash before my eyes and I honestly believe that I was able to look at life a whole lot different regretting the peoples life that I destroyed in the past. But ultimately being able to change it in the future with what we were on the verge of showing to the world. I didn’t took my story and was able to tour through different schools here in Houston and youth programs given them a inspiration and incentive upliftment. I got opportunity to use what I have been through to curve the interests of the bad for those who are going on wrong path to the good. Edrick being consistent in the soul purpose of all of this happening. Also served as a father figure and a brother.
In the course of all of this to Edrick will come to the hospital and we were still film episodes I was to help him with some of the projects. But The lease to say is that my life has been ultimate miracle transformed by gods grace.
Has it been a smooth road?
It hasn’t been a smooth road one of the biggest obstacles I’ve always face was a pawn coming out of that experience from incarceration was a lot of the rejection. In employment fields, acceptance from society, and family. Of course all of this change down the road. And another frame of obstacle one My father passing away this with somebody I consider my best friend it was just a tough pill to swallow. Re-integrating back into society with college and all the worldly affairs was only talk for a moment though considering my relentless spirit.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with The Forgotten – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I define success through habits, obsession, and application. One of the things I’ve always been consistent on is that whatever I do when I turn left or right I just keep on moving forward but never backwards. One of the things that I love about basketball is not watching it but when I play it.
When I play basketball I can relate to success so much see when I started off playing basketball didn’t know how to dribble I got dropped from the team but it was my consistency and want to know the game more than allowed me to grow from it from there I was able to acquire dribbling the ball dribbling the ball and transition passing the ball shooting the ball incorporating all the factors in the game.
We learn to incorporate the game of basketball through all those factors I just listed. So, therefore, I just copied that same standard. therefore, the bar can follow and I don’t have the raise it.
