Taher, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Prism Signs TX was established in 2010 by a University of Houston graduate in Houston, TX. It began under a Pack & Ship Mail Center store without any investment. The store served as a retail location which had regular customers and with word of mouth the business grew. Started with just selling window stickers, lettering and banners ordered from different suppliers and sign companies. With time we started providing architectural signage and large format printing solutions, Building Signage, Interior and Exterior for some of Houston’s leading industrial companies and institutions.
Today, with extensive product knowledge and relationship with suppliers and manufacturers all over the U.S., Prism Sign TX offers multiple lines of product and deliver big sign projects.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Once I graduated from the University of Houston, finding a job was my main priority. No graduate has money to invest in the business plus has student loans. The only motive I had was I wanted to be an entrepreneur. The struggle was to make the clients understand that even though we are new in the market, we will offer better standards. No customer wants to try a new company with no portfolio. But I was lucky that I bid for a project and it turned out to be a franchise and from there the business picked up.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Prism Signs TX story. Tell us more about the business.
Channel Letters Signage

We are best known for Channel Letter Manufacturing. We just a CNC router cutting machines to cut the face of the sign and then use a bending machine to bend each Channel Letters. We have computerized the whole process from designing to cutting to building the Channel letters. The only manual part of it is once the Channel Letters are completed, then need to be screwed together. We do a lot of Wholesale work for many other sign companies who want quality work within a weeks’ time. This is a process that makes us apart from other companies and the reason we are so proud of our process.
