Meet Tiffany Hall of Growth Academy in Southeast Houston

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Hall.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Tiffany. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I’ve always loved caring for the youth in my family and community, so while in college at Texas A&M, I decided to work at a daycare (Becky Gates Children Center) for work study. While working at the daycare, I fell in love with the childcare industry. After graduation, I got a teaching position at an elementary school.

I taught for 5+ years after college and decided that I wanted to create a legacy of my own where I can empower my community and forever watch my students grow. Which led me to open up Growth Academy. While running my Academy, I started looking for other resources to support me financially, which lead me to partner with an amazing tax company called “Absolute Tax Services”. This partnership helps me build my academy not only financially but professionally. I was able to strengthen my management and educate my Growth Academy parents on how to properly file their taxes. I started spread this information within my community and family. I truly love the impact it has made and blessed to have this opportunity!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No road is completely smooth, during my journey, I have come across some obstacles that I was able to overcome and obstacles where I knew that only God can help me through it. These obstacles made me a guardian to a few youth in my family, which was extremely hard but with God, anything is possible. Having a business has matured me in so many ways. You have to be patient, dedicated, have faith, trust the process, and keep the passion you had to start your business. I told myself everyday “She believed she could, so she did” and that quote kept me not only going but with a smile knowing it could and will get better! When I first started, I struggled financially, but the passion I had for kids gave me strength to keep going! I then started planning, asked for donations, became more organized and gave everyday my all. I started seeing results which also brought me amazing supporters! Which I call my Growth Family lol. Everyone won’t believe in you, but you can believe in you!

Please tell us about Growth Academy.
I’m the owner of a license Day School called “Growth Academy” where we always have a growth mindset. As an educator, I have experience in early childhood up to high school. I’m knowing for building strong relationships with my students and their families while teaching on a rigorous level. I’m very proud of the dedication, passion, and love that we share at Growth Academy. We are very resourceful and love to help one another! What makes us unique is the solid foundation we built with not only our students but with their families as well. With this solid foundation, we will always have the ability to grow!

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memory from my childhood was when we had family gatherings! No matter what we would always come together for Birthdays, Graduations, Holidays, Prom, or just because it was Sunday and we were all available to come together. It created this spirit inside of me that will forever bring me joy, peace, and love. We played games, laughed, ate until we couldn’t anymore. I remember being at the park and playing south ball with my cousins and being the youngest one! They would always let me win the games! With just that memory made me feel like I could conquer the world because I was a winner and had my family cheering me on. As I got older, I lost in some of the activities which built my character to overcome obstacles.
