Timothy, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Growing up my mother, Darlene Turnbow had always struggled with lower back pain. My goal was to start a career that would be beneficial in helping with her injuries. After learning about how massage therapy can help, I decided that was something I would like to do. After graduating from massage therapy school, I began working as a therapist in 2008. I worked under a chiropractor for a couple of years so that I would have the opportunity to work on different types of injuries. I also received training in myoskelatal techniques by Eric Dalton and Paul Kelly. After building my clientele past what I could do on my own. In May of 2018, I opened Natural Forces Massage. I hired other therapist with the same mindset and helped train them myself. Since then, we have grown tremendously, already surpassing 300 reviews on Google and over 250 on our Facebook page. We have even created a YouTube page for clients to learn stretches, corrective exercises, massage techniques, and much more. Our goal is to continue to grow and help as many people as possible.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Opening a business has not been the easiest thing. There were a lot of stresses that we had to learn to adjust to. Among these would include: learning which types of advertising to utilize, learning how to manage different employees, dealing with contractors, getting all the right permits, and much more. However, through a lot of prayer, my faith in God, and my wonderful wife Mckenna Turnbow we have managed to overcome every obstacle.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Natural Forces Massage – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We are a massage therapy clinic that specializes in pain management and prevention. We are different from other massage clinics because we have a more personalized touch being a small business. For example unlike franchises, we see people as people and not just money. We try to treat everyone with love and generosity. We are also different because, being small we have the ability to be more picky in our hiring. We only hire a high-quality therapist.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We are currently in our 3rd year of a five-year lease at our present location. After which we will get a bigger place and we plan to offer more services such as facials, skin treatments, and maybe even acupuncture. We would like to do more community events and get involved.
