Thanks for sharing your story with us Toi. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Well, I started Trophywife in June of 2017. I sell 100% virgin hair extensions, wigs, eyelashes, edge control, and hair growth oil. We even customize t-shirts, window decals, and much more. I started selling hair extensions because I was constantly spending money on bundles that wasn’t really worth it. Either they were super thin or had way to much shedding, so at that point I told my husband that I wanted to started selling hair. My husband and a friend came up with the name Trophywife which I absolutely loved, while I was doing my research on some hair and products. Now after researching for months I finally found a few good vendors and started selling them from that day forward.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing is really easy when it comes to running a business, especially this hair business. There are so many ppl that sell hair. I had to stay focus and remind myself that “what is for me will be for me”. So I had to try my best to get my name out there first, I started doing networking events, passing out business cards/ flyers, my husband and I would constantly post on social media daily and etc. My biggest thing was not to give up.
Please tell us about Trophywife.
Trophywife is a virgin hair company that specializes in our Brazilian virgin hair as well as our mink lashes. Our virgin hair has no tangles nor any shedding. I’m mostly proud of the growth of Trophywife, we started selling hair out of our cars and home. We got our first office back in 2018 in the greenspoint area, now we are located in the HOUSTON BARGAIN CENTER on Homestead rd. The difference between your standard hair company and Trophywife is our number one priority is to make sure that our clients walk out of our store with smiles on their faces, so that they would want to come shop again, we give discounts during the holidays, giveaways, pop up shops, and much more, but on top of that we let our clients know that “IT AIN’T RIGHT IF IT AIN’T TROPHYWIFE ” we do offer the best quality hair with absolutely no tangles nor shedding…
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memory from my childhood was me always wanting to be an entrepreneur and look at me now two years of entrepreneurship and many more to come.
