Today we’d like to introduce you to Traneshia Henderson.
Traneshia, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Table Talk Treats was born in 2013 and started as a candy table service. In 2014, I eventually decided to add a little more spice to my services and include custom sweet treats along with the candy decor. The demand for custom treats grew over those years and Table Talk Treats had become a preferred treat provider in no time. Although business was good, it was completely exhausting with me also having a full-time job as an Executive Assistant. In December of 2016 I was laid off which allowed me to put 100% into my business. Since then I have never looked back and Table Talk Treats has grown tremendously with a strong customer base! 2017 was a hard year as I lost my sister from breast cancer. I gained custody of her 2 children (8 and 17) while having my own son (7). Last year’s journey was hard but it has allowed me to persevere and be the example of strength that I want for my children. My story shows that dreams don’t have to stop because the journey is not what we expected.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
There are always bumps in the road as an entrepreneur. Keeping up with the trends can be very challenging. When your client brings you a photo of a dessert originated in Australia, you want to do nothing but deliver! Sometimes it can be a hard delivery!!

Table Talk Treats offers custom sweet treat designs that are sure to wow the eye! We are known for our attention to detail and custom original designs. I’m so proud of the growth of my business. My vision went from a hobby to a full-time business in just a short time.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success to me used to be about the money you make and the people you book, but now I feel it is about the impact that I make, and the smiles when my treats are displayed. When a client sees their goodies for the first time and cries!! That is an indescribable feeling! You feel accomplished! It’s amazing to see someone so touched by your craft. That is success to me!
