Hi Yanira, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
In my younger years I had to endure divorce, and due to the lack of knowledge on this matter, my ex-husband took my only child and moved to another country leaving me without contact with my son for 11 years.
Few years later, looking for answers, I looked for work at a law firm and stayed there for over 25 years becoming a divorce paralegal.
Working there I didn’t only find deep professional fulfillment but uncovered my true-life mission. Supporting hundreds of clients through one of the most painful transitions of their lives opened my eyes to a greater calling: helping people carry their emotional burdens and truly heal.
After decades in the legal field, I made a bold decision, I stepped away from my long career to integrate my professional experience with multiple coaching certifications. This unique combination positions me as the first Bilingual Holistic Divorce Coach in Texas, blending legal insight with emotional and spiritual transformation.
My mission is to support, guide, and educate clients on the importance of balancing emotions, mind, and spirit while navigating divorce or grieving the loss of a partner. Because divorce is not just a legal process, it is an emotional rebirth.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I opened my private practice in 2020, right in the middle of the pandemic—a time that made it especially difficult to step out, connect with clients, and build relationships with attorneys. As a result, getting my business out there has been a real challenge.
On top of that, divorce is still very much a taboo topic. When I introduce myself as a divorce coach, people are often surprised, sometimes even reacting as if it’s something negative, when in reality, it’s about healing, guidance, and helping people rebuild their lives.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a Holistic Divorce Coach, in fact, the only Holistic Divorce Coach offering an integral service. With each session my clients obtain all the legal knowledge, communication tools and energy healing benefits. Having the blessing of communicating in 2 languages is a plus, I get to help people of different cultures.
