My name is Yashika Walker. I am the founder and owner of Hair Affair Stimulating Growth Oil. My business specializes in healthy hair growth and maintenance. I started this company after experiencing post-partum hair loss following the birth of my second child. My results were so great that I wanted to assist other women who have experienced similar issues regarding hair loss, while helping them to gain their confidence back. The results from others were so astonishing that I decided to create a beard oil to assist men who may struggle growing facial hair. My brand is dedicated to helping support and promote natural beauty by enhancing hair growth and eliminating insecurities. I hand-craft each hair-growth product, which is 100% ALL NATURAL! My growth oils are great for ALL hair types/textures, unisex, and safe for toddlers. To date I have won an award from an Organization called Buy From A Black Woman(BFABW) for 2021 Hair Care Company of The Year, I have had my product promoted on the radio for a week straight, I have grown my company to close to 3000 customers in less than 2yrs. I truly enjoy what I do and love when I receive testimonials and feedback from my customers. My ultimate goal is to start a fund for women of color that have experienced hair loss due to cancer and other severe health issues. I am honored to be featured. We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road AT ALL! I have endured many challenges along the way such as not really having a clear plan starting out and losing out on money by not planning properly. I am always learning so I now have a mentor to help me along the way.

I started this company because knew that I had an AWESOME product and wanted to share it with the world. I created hair affair to help others who have also experienced hair loss or have difficulties growing their hair. I wanted everyone to feel as confident and beautiful as I did when I tackled my hair growth challenges. I often have customers that reach out and thank me for giving them their confidence back and to me that is the most rewarding of it all! I created this product to initially help with an issue that I was personally struggling with. My products are all natural/organic, paraben and sulfate free, which is what makes them unique. My products include hair growth oils, beard growth oil, eyelash/eyebrow growth oil, shampoo and conditioner, silk edge scarfs, shampoo and scalp massing brushes, edge brush and edge control that also promotes growth.
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
COVID has taught me so much!!! I have learned how to pivot and keep it moving and to spend time with my loved ones as much as possible.
