Morgan B. shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Morgan, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
A recent moment I am most proud of is getting married. I just got married on Thursday September 25, 2025, to my best friend. I have always wanted to be married but did not think it would happen for me. It did and I am excited to see what the next chapter brings for us.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Morgan B. I am a wife and mother of 2 plus a bonus mom of 3. I love 90’s R&B and French fries. I recently started a business in March 2024 called Mothers with Ambitions. It started off as a digital marketing business but recently changed over to a fashion business in February 2025. My love for fashion runs deep. I initially started my fashion brand as a blog in April 2018 where I helped women style different clothing items multiple ways on a budget. My motto was if you can’t style it 3 ways (outside of special occasion attire), you do not need it in your closet. To this day that messaging remains true for Mothers with Ambitions. I currently still fashion blog and style curator passionate about helping moms on the go simplify their wardrobe without sacrificing style. With a focus on capsule essentials and confident everyday looks I specialize in making getting dressed feel effortless and stress free. As the founder of Mothers with Ambitions, I like to blend motherhood, entrepreneurship, and style to inspire women to show up boldly in every season of life in style.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
What I believed about myself as a child that I no longer believe now is that I have to go to school to get a high paying job. It amazes me how I see the young generation and even some of the older generation create a lucrative income from their passions. Without going to a 4-year college. There is this car show that my husband watches called, B****in Rides on Motortrend TV. The owner Dave Kindig restores and designs these beautiful cars for customers and make them look good as new. He even puts his own cars that he customizes in car shows. I was telling my husband how amazing it must feel for him to get paid on what he loves doing and that it doesn’t feel like work because he has been drawing and designing cars since he was a kid. And to live out your childhood dream is a blessing. As it states in the bible, your gifts will make room for you and if you just have enough faith to believe in yourself and the gift that God gave you… you will succeed. Now, I am not knocking going to college if that is what you want to do, but in this day and age it is not required.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
I give up all the time LOL, but I still keep going. Fashion is something that will not let me go even if I wanted to. It honestly just keeps pulling at my heart strings because I believe it’s something in it for me that God wants me to see. When I started my first blog in 2018, I stopped after 6 months because no one was reading, and I didn’t get a $10,000 brand deal LOL, so I quit. Then I started my clothing business March 2020 and it was doing great for a while, but not enough to do it full time. Things started slowing down once the pandemic was over and I couldn’t sustain. So, I shut down in February 2024 but something said go back to fashion blogging. Mothers with Ambitions was born March 2024 but started as a digital marketing business to help others start their fashion business from home. I did that for 10 months, but it just didn’t feel right anymore because my messaging was all over the place and I was not being true to me. I can honestly say the businesses I started were with good intentions because of my love for fashion, but because I was not being true to my core and following what the popular crowd was doing… I gave up. But God told me no and said use the gift I gave you of fashion teaching moms how to create a stress-free wardrobe with the style staple essentials. Now I have been consistently blogging since February 2025, took a break in August and September to release my new e-book called Effortless Style Staples: Your Go-To Guide for Getting Dressed with Ease, and creating flat lay styles for my blog and other fashion brands in hopes of getting recognized to create styles for their company. I enjoy what I do so much, and I am so glad that God keeps pushing me.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
One person whom I admire for their character is Mia Ray, founder of Glam-aholic Lifestyle. She has been true to her roots since I was introduced to her by my best friend in 2016/2017. Two things that she says really stick with me, “Stay down until you come up”, and “Give up and do what?!” Sorry, let me make it three LOL “Use what you have because you have everything you need right in front of you”. These three things that she says hit home for me every time because to see where she started and see where she is now is a testament to these three things that she said. She showed that it was possible to make your dreams come true if you stay down. Her character and who she is is proof that it’s possible for me too.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What will you regret not doing?
What I will regret not doing is using my gifts inside of me before I die. For so long as a child I struggled with what I was supposed to do in this world. Now at 36 years old I finally know and now that I know I want to keep going until I succeed. From making moms/women feel beautiful in simple clothing, to helping other start a fashion business from home to leave a legacy for their families, getting started in real estate to leave a legacy for my family, and travel the world that God has created. I want to use every ounce of me and show my kids what is possible that God said we could.
