Today we’d like to introduce you to Casey Nwachukwu.
Hi Casey , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
•This motivational journey began around my junior year at Fort Bend Bush High School. I had the opportunity to showcase a quote to my class. The type of reception that I got was surprising and cool. On top of that feeling, people came to me for advice or to be an energy spark/hype man.
•Years later, at the University of Houston, I was posting random affirmations on my Snapchat consistently. After individuals came to me, asking me to do videos on motivational content, this led me to creating a motivational platform.
•When it comes to my brand name, I wanted a name that involved unlocking gifts. Being someone that was a musician for 11 years (piano for 4 years, and tuba player for 7 years), this pathway allowed me to grow into the person I am today. This unique gift is the foundation for what this platform is currently about: unlocking the gift [of being a musician] has activated my motivation to go after…more gifts.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
•The road has not been a smooth one, I have to admit. I get the opportunity to balance my motivational brand with being a student physical therapist. There are stretches where I do not work on my content to focus on school.
•However, the great thing about this journey is that both pathways have the same purpose: inspiring other individuals to unlock gifts within themselves. Viewing school and my platform as a “continuous cycle” gives me the opportunity to go back and forth between the two. This allows me grow my energy.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
•I am a motivational speaker and content creator. Some of the topics that my platform has discussed in the past includes unlocking special gifts within ourselves, supporting family, not comparing ourselves to others, disabilities, etc.
•The thing that I am most proud of within this journey is the impact it has on individuals. Whenever people bring up my platform and mention how much it has motivated them to grow, that is the spark that gets me going.
• What separates me is that give my creative guests the opportunity to showcase their gift(s) live on my platform. I have allowed my high school friend, Chukwudi, to perform a song on his piano. I have other guests from previous recordings that will show off their talent as well.
•The goal for my platform is to give off “talent show” vibes. Being someone that participated in a talent show in elementary school, that cool feeling of showing off my piano skills is what I want every creative individual to feel as well.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
•Growing up, I was a person who had energy within himself, and could not wait to use that energy on things that meant a lot to me. I used this energy in areas such as sports, as well as having a positive mindset towards people that I loved and appreciated.
•Sports was something that brought me excitement, peace, and something to look forward to. From watching the games with friends and family, to playing them, to having sports debates, sports were a big part of my childhood. The Houston Texans and Houston Rockets were and are my favorite sports franchises.
