Today we’d like to introduce you to QLux.
Hi QLux, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Your Story
My journey into fashion has been a combination of passion, creativity, persistence, and simply trusting myself enough to pursue something I truly love. I’ve always been drawn to fashion because I see it as more than clothing—it’s a form of self-expression, storytelling, and confidence.
I started by getting involved in fashion shows and creative projects in Houston, where I had the opportunity to develop my eye for styling and learn what it takes to bring a vision to life. Over the years, I’ve worked on building my identity as a wardrobe stylist and creative under QLux, while continuing to grow through collaborations, fashion events, and experiences within Houston’s creative community.
One of the moments that meant the most to me was being recognized for my contributions to Houston’s fashion and creative scene. That experience reminded me that the work I was doing was making an impact beyond just the clothes—it was contributing to a larger creative culture that I’m proud to be part of.
Today, I’m focused on taking QLux to the next level, expanding my portfolio, working with designers, creatives, and notable clients, and creating styling moments that people remember. My journey is still unfolding, but I’m proud of how far I’ve come. Everything I’ve experienced has helped shape the stylist and creative I am today, and I’m excited about what’s next.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Every challenge has played a role in shaping the creative and entrepreneur I am today. One of the biggest challenges has been learning how to build a name for myself while navigating an industry where opportunities often come from relationships, consistency, and simply being willing to put yourself out there.
What kept me going was knowing that I had a genuine passion for fashion and a vision for QLux that I didn’t want to give up on. I’ve learned to turn obstacles into motivation, stay consistent, and allow every experience—good or bad—to teach me something.
The challenges didn’t stop me; they taught me how to become more confident in my vision and more intentional about where I’m going next.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a wardrobe stylist and creative behind QLux, specializing in elevated, statement-making fashion that allows people to express their personality through what they wear. My approach to styling is about more than simply putting an outfit together—I focus on creating a complete visual story, from the clothing and accessories to the overall mood and presence of the look.
I’m known for bringing a luxury, bold, and fashion-forward perspective to my work. I love mixing strong pieces, unexpected details, and different textures to create looks that feel polished but still have personality.
One of the things I’m most proud of is building my experience within Houston’s fashion community and having the opportunity to contribute to fashion shows and creative productions. Being recognized for my contributions to Houston’s fashion scene was especially meaningful because it showed me that the work I was putting into my craft was being seen.
What sets me apart is my ability to see the vision before the look comes together. I’m not afraid to take risks or push beyond what’s expected. I want every person I style to walk into a room feeling confident, elevated, and completely themselves. For me, fashion isn’t just about looking good—it’s about creating a presence that people remember.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I’ve been fortunate to have people along the way who believed in me, encouraged me, and gave me opportunities to grow. My supporters, creative collaborators, clients, models, designers, and fellow creatives have all played a part in helping me develop my voice as a stylist.
I’m especially grateful to the people who trusted me with their looks and creative visions. Every client and collaboration has given me an opportunity to learn, experiment, and become more confident in my craft. The creatives I’ve worked alongside in Houston have also helped me understand the importance of community and creating opportunities for one another.
Ultimately, I’m grateful for everyone who has opened a door, shared advice, supported my work, collaborated with me, or trusted me with their image. QLux may be my vision, but the people who have believed in that vision have helped me bring it to life.
